  • I think it’s worth the price

It’s an app that can provide up to high-intensity customized workout. It’s nice that you don’t really have to do the thinking since the algorithm does it for you. I don’t know about the algorithm being perfect, but it grows to be accurate in general if you keep providing feedback to it. Keep in mind that this is just an app, not an actual trainer that watches you. It doesn’t know if the workout it has given you is the right one for you until you tell it. Actively giving feedback to the AI seems to be the key. It’s a good workout app, but maybe don’t set your expectations too high from the beginning. Oh, and I heard the weightlifting plans are worse than the bodyweight ones, but I can’t say for certain since I’ve only tried weightlifting plan like once and stopped.

  • Really really bad!

After going to gym for 4 years now I thought this App might change up the routine a bit. It was so so bad that I cancelled the subscription within 10 minutes. Terrible routines … not straightforward…very very limited. A total waste of money. One of the worst Apps i hav ever come across.

  • Not Ready For Your Fitness Goals

This app has been an extremely frustrating experience. I’ve used multiple workout apps and am a very experienced in training. I downloaded the app and signed up for a training journey and told the coach I could work out Mon, Wed, Fri. Today is Wednesday and the app will not give me access to my journey workout for today. It is only giving me the option to do a separate, unrelated workout. You can’t skip or shorten a rest period, only a workout set. So if I want to skip your last 2 sets you have to just stand around and wait for the rest timer. You also can’t customize how much weight you actually used verses what it asked you to do. It wanted me to warm up with a weight that was too heavy for a particular move I hadn’t done in years, but wouldn’t let me adjust it. I’m not going to just blindly do what the “coach” says if I already know it’s not gonna work for me. I also paid for the nutrition coach upgrade because the ad said there were dairy and gluten free diet options but when I set it up there were no options for gluten or dairy free. Only vegan and other meat preferences. Had I known I would not have gotten the app. If you want any “say-so” or control over your fitness program this is not the app to get.

  • Disinterested customer support

I’ve had a few goes at Freeletics. I like the idea of it and guns bore me so this seemed a good fit. I preferred the earlier versions of the app though. Recent updates over the past few years have really taken the shine off the whole experience. I preferred when gym, running and bodyweight were separated. The current app feels cumbersome and I’m never sure where I am in the app.

So, I haven’t used it for most the past year and was so convinced I’d cancelled the auto renewal that I was shocked to find a huge debit from Blum bank - with no prior warning. Many apps will send an email a few days before to warn you your subscription is about to renew. I had nothing from Freeletics except a large payment leave my account.

I reached out to support and explained that I’d had no warning and genuinely thought I’d already cancelled. I was sure they’d understand. The payment from my bank account is still pending but I’ve just had an email to say they won’t be refunding me. I can’t begin to describe how disappointed I am in their stance on this.

Hi there! Yes, our subscriptions are indeed automatically renewed and as mentioned, you may also pass the voucher on to an athlete of your choice or use at a later time. We apologise that our service did not satisfy your expectations.
  • A true workout program that promises obtainable results and how to get there!

I’ve spent years trying to find a program that I could stick with and get results. As a naturally small dude, I’ve never done well with gyms, and I don’t have a lot of spending money so I’ve usually drifted towards body weight stuff, but it’s hard to find a structured program for that!

    Enter Freeletics.

Freeletics truly practices what it preaches: freedom in and through athleticism. With countless workouts, guides, tips, videos, and encouragements, they truly do everything in their power to keep you on track. If you do prefer equipment based workouts, they have that too! It’s so easy to customize to the Coach and follow a plan for your goals and body type. It will push you; it will grow you. It will be one of the best decisions you’ve made for yourself!

I’ve never written a review before, but after a year and a half on this program, the results are incredible. For the first time in my life, I LOVE how I look.

Thank you Freeletics. You’ve made a lifelong fan and follower!

  • Short of coaching features

The workouts in the app aren’t bad. But there is zero coaching. If you’re a beginner, do a few sessions with a personal trainer before you touch this app. There are no coaching or technique tips, just some videos which don’t really show crucial points like “make sure you engage your core” or “keep your knees softly bent” and similar. It would be very easy to make some painful and costly mistakes if you solely rely on this app. From a usability point of view it’s poor too, there’s no audio aside from a 5 second countdown so you always need to be able to see your screen to know what to do next. Wouldn’t be difficult to put an audio cue that says “up next, 20 crunches”. Also on exercises with two sides like lunges it’s not clear whether the number of reps are per side or total alternating sides. A small thing but just annoying.
I also have the Nike Training Club app which is totally free and ad free, and has all of these features including full training programmes. Get that instead and don’t waste your money on this.

  • This is the best I’ve used - get this app and sub

I’m not paid for this at all yall I just love a good invention and this is it. I’ve tinkered with big brands like Nike and noom…some random running/exercise app I can’t remember the name of for a long while…and they just didn’t do it for me. This one? I read about it. Downloaded. Looked around and didn’t think twice about subbing. NOW I have a workout routine. I absolutely appreciate what you’ve done here and I thank you so much for helping me get my health back to the top of my priorities, this app makes it much easier to do and omg do I love working out with a virtual trainer. This is an off day for me and I’m literally looking around for anything at all to be able to use as an excuse to use the app. Not even kidding and no I didn’t get paid for this!

  • Excellent App Tao Keep You Going And Morivated

I got this app to help me get my fitness back after a knee operation. Still learning new exercises after a year using it. I have seen so much change in the shape of my body and still enjoy getting up early to do my daily routines. It has become quite addictive and even if I miss a session I am always thinking of ways to get back on track. Highly recommended this app to get your fitness back.

This section is after 3 years using this app. They are always coming up with different combinations of exercises and routines so you are all ways working different parts of your body. I am mainly using the app over the winter periods when I can’t get out on my bike. Still highly recommended this app. If your paying £40-50 per month at the gym then change to this app and it’s paid for its self in 2 months 👍

  • It’s been good for me

I’ve been physically active most of my life. Skateboarding in the early years and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu as of late. To supplement my Bjj training I started using freeletics with the “coach” years ago. It was good but the workouts were a bit too much so I stopped using it. I downloaded it again at the beginning of this year when the pandemic left me out of shape. I have to say, the “coach” has been greatly improved and seems to more accurately tailor the workouts based on my feedback. With 5 workouts a week (give or take with other obligations), intermittent fasting and almost zero drinking, and at 6ft tall, I’m down from 220lbs to 198lbs in 7 months. I travel for work frequently and it was really great to use the app when most gym locations were closed.
Your miles may vary and this may not be for everyone but it’s been really good for me.

  • Well balanced fitness app

I used to think Freeletics was too tough for fitness beginners. But I gave the app another chance and have neither found a better alternative nor looked back once I decided to re-commit my training to Freeletics.

The beginner workout programmes are an excellent balance of cardio and strength training with attention given to psychological or mental fitness too. It’s challenging but manageable and can be adapted to your needs.
