    Just joined spark yesterday was excited to join then it all started signing up the app wouldn’t verify my number for access no way to contact anyone all Chat bots super frustrating then it blocked me finally after 2 hours it resolved then I went to pick a plan and pay …. That doesn’t work either .. I could top up first and pick a plan but because of this app playing up and the worst customer service I’m hesitant to habd over my money … as quick as I joined spark I’m leaving throwing sim in the bin today and going elsewhere spark can thank this useless app and terrible customer support channels.

  • Terrible

    I have been unable to purchase a prepaid plan and there is no way to contact a real person to help.

  • Hi there no recent reviews of this app

    I started to write a review and posted it then I noticed that no recent reviews are newer than three years old. Is this correct? Anyway, please do not even consider using this service. It is borderline fraudulent. It is a scam. Pure and simple. It’s a scam.

  • Total scam. Stay away from this awful business.

    At the airport, I asked the young lady not to sell me a plan that would Sunset and that I would get charged roaming fees. She assured me that would not happen with my plan. Sure enough a few nights ago. I got a notice saying my data was down to 249 MB so I did what they said and topped off the data for $25 thinking this would last me three days or so.few hours later I got another message so I topped off again thinking that maybe the payment did not go through but then this morning at 4:10 AM I got another notice and paid it up with the supplied data top off and turns out that it is just to pay for roaming fees. This is a semi illegal business.I have never ever witnessed anything so fraudulent and get away getting away with it ever. Absolutely stay away from this company.

  • Worst customer support service

    Spark now have the worst customer support system I've ever experienced. No option to call and talk to someone and get a problem dealt with in real time. Instead a bot messaging system that will ask you over and over to repeatedly verify you are the account holder by asking for your account number (which provides no security given that anyone who's managed to get into your app to message Spark already has access to that information). I got called the wrong name by one chat person. I finally got told what date my change to my service would occur... it then didn't occur and I'm going through the same horrible process to try and get it rectified.

  • Faulty app

    Honestly really disappointing- the app is difficult to use and is really unreliable. I have been charged late penalties a few times despite making monthly payments on time- the payment says it is processed on the app but it doesn’t go through. Changed to prepaid and similar issue- bought data packs that weren’t loaded but my balance was charged anyway. Have been with spark for years but considering changing as I don’t think their service is worth it.
    Have read other reviews and it’s obvious that customers are being ripped off and spark is unwilling to do anything about it, really unfair

  • Money grabbing

    You can’t top up your account and have your money stay there until your scheduled renewed top up date because as soon as your over your usage they switch to casual rates without notifying you and it gets used up in minutes. I’ve had many occasions when I’ve had ‘extra’ money in my spark account for when my plan renews and it’s always gone by the time it comes around. It feels as though they set up their system this way on purpose to steal money. I just had $44 dollars in my account for my top up tomorrow and what do you know it’s all gone again without warning so I have to pay again to access my plan.
    I guess just don’t leave money on your account because they will take it.

    Kia ora Zara, the best way to avoid any extra usage at the standard rates would be to set your Value Pack to Auto renew from a saved card rather than your prepaid credit balance. This way your top up goes directly towards your Value Pack renewal every 4 weeks.   • My Spark App

    I haven’t been able to access the My Spark app for about 3 months now, maybe longer, I just thought I’d forgotten my password and credentials to log in. When I call Spark they tell me there’s a problem with the App but no one can tell me what the expected fix date is or where I can get the information I need. The last time I called they blamed it on Cyclone Gabrielle. I am at the end of my tether trying to find out when the issue will be fixed, no one is available at weekends when I am not working, I am going round in circles….perhaps I ll go elsewhere for my services? Would seem to be the easier option sadly….come on Spark, what’s going on?

  • From bad to worse

    MySpark hasnt worked for a bunch of customers for about 2 years now. The app hasnt worked on any of my three devices for about 3 years (apple, pc, samsung and google it doesnt matter).

    The only thing i used to be able to see on the app was balance of minute and data, everything else had an error unable to view sign (accross apple, samsung, pc, mac, google platforms too kind you on 5 different devices).

    After the performance and other recent update, i was excited to see the spark app now working.

    Surprise surprise, what little it did used to show is now also gone, and a time out error keeps appearing. Delted and reinstalled and same issues but cant even log into my spark now on app.

    The worst part is support is non-existent, i have logged issues for past 2 years and no reply or fix to any. Maybe a but of $ spent on using your products would help you stop losing customers.

    As of today seeing the timeout error on the app thats apparently fixed, i am changing to someone else who cant possibly be worse.
