Horrible!!! Do not buy!!
The app will not load the data from the pen. When the app tries to sync the data, the app crashes. So nothing loads. When you go back into the app, the app asks for you to connect to the pen. However, the pen is already connected via Bluetooth. The only way to get the app to recognize the pen after the app crashes is to remove the Bluetooth connection. When you restart the connection process again, it does nothing because the app crashes every time. I haven't had the own for a week; I will be sending the pen back.

Essential tool
I do investigations and need to quickly reference info in meetings. I consider the pen and app essential tools for my job. Been using for tea and have 4 pens - 2 echos and 2 l3s. Started out on a pulse.
The app is a disaster. Don’t know who’s doing the programming but they should be fired. Never had this many issues with the app until recently. Get it fixed posthaste else you’ll lose business.

does not work.
Does not work on my new macbook pro. I've deleted and reinstalled the app a dozen times and it will not work. I guess my smart pen is done for when it runs out of space on it.
Nice idea, poorly executed
I started with the little notebook that came with the pen, managed to get page one working and seemed fine.
Then tried writing on page 2, nothing recorded on the iPad and some of the writing from page 1 disappeared.
Purchased a full sized notebook and no matter how much I try I can’t get anything to appear on the Ipad. Online instructions are useless, given up.
Please don’t waste your time and money on this.

Waste of my hard-earned money
This app is an insult to those who trust your advertisement. You are a poorly-run company.
Handwriting-text could use work
Very useful app, but don't expect your handwriting to convert to meaningful text. Mostly just gibberish.
Respond to customers
Why do you not bother to respond to your customers reviews?
This is a horrible product
I have the symphony and this is constantly disconnecting. It always asks me to register where I can skip everything. But it always has a “green check box to subscribe to emails.” Doesn’t recognize my notebooks. Can’t set up the pin because it doesn’t exist (even though there are instructions on the livescribe website). This app is horrific.

Barely works
The app barely works. You can only listen to recordings when the pen is connected, and you cannot export the audio without the desktop app.
The freezes regularly, is incredibly sluggish all the time and disconnects from the pen’s Bluetooth on a regular basis.
I have buyer's remorse.
