I love this app!!!
I tried the 7 day free version and loved it sooooooo much that I went ahead and bought it for a year. It was only $40 or $50 bucks and I know that may seem like a lot but it’s honestly nothing in the long term. It helps them pay their employees to record wonderful stories to help you sleep and meditate. My favorite background setting is the ocean it’s so peaceful and calming. I came to this app because I wanted better sleep and to be closer to God. I can say that this app does both. It makes me naturally sleepy without any medication while bringing me closer to our Lord Jesus Christ. I feel like I not only sleep better but wake up well rested and ready to take on the next day. If I’m feeling off or discouraged from the day they have wonderful meditations to play. I love the 15 minute one best. It’s honest without beating you down. I love this app so much and I use it every night to help me sleep. I’ve had this app for a few months or so and I’ve never had better sleep. Of course not every night is perfect but this app has definitely made my sleep better and more peaceful. They update it every week with new stories and I can’t rave enough about this. Isn’t it always comforting when someone prays for you? I feel this when I am prayed over when I listen to Abide. I just tend to listen to the daily theme and not every time of course, but so often, the devotion is so applicable to my life (but another practical side to Abide is being able to choose themes that are applicable). I love this ap but I prefer to use it on my IPAD and save the charge on my phone, but can only get the 5 minutes meditation even thou I have paid for premium. It shows the lock when I try the longer times. Why is this? My subscription is due very soon and I am considering unsubscribeing.Aneeay

I would like to say how much I value the Abide app which I’ve been using for almost a year now. I have chronic insomnia. I have worked as a health worker for many years doing “awkward” hours. Please may I present a different view of your narrators from that given by Peterlovesgarage. In the small hours, when you can’t sleep the soothing voices of the narrators don’t seem overacted. I like the English guy’s delivery of “Within His Reach” and his earlier CS Lewis meditation. They are probably for me the most effective at bedtime. Since you have such a large selection of varying meditations perhaps the best advice if you don’t find a particular narrator to your taste is to move on until you find one that is. I use this app to deal with PTSD before bed at night. I have violent nightmares. You know what would be amazing? A prayer guide for asking god to help heal people like myself from nightmares and afflictions like being emotionally stuck in the past. I know it can’t replace a therapist, and it can’t replace my anti depressant LOL but - it’s so good to hit these kinds of things from all sides. To be able to focus spiritually on the issue before bed when I am most vulnerable to the darkness would be great. It can be so hard so muster up the motivation to pray about something so overwhelming on my own, that’s why I like prayer guides, they make me feel not so alone, supported and structured in what I’m doing. And if you could get a male narrator with a very deep voice like Morgan Freeman to do it, even better!

Stop complaining about the price! This is an amazing app!
First off, I absolutely LOVE this app. I transitioned from the Calm app (definitely not a Christian app) and having a meditation that focuses on Christ has made a huge difference in my life. And the sleep stories are wonderful!
Secondly, I am so disheartened with all the people complaining in reviews about the price of this subscriptions. It’s half of most of the Christian meditation apps (I tried them all, literally, and this was the best, and not because of cost). And it’s way less than half of non-Christian ones. If the world can pay for their health and well-being why are we complaining about a Christ-centered one? Plus the customer service is sooooo helpful and offers scholarships to those who can’t afford full price (which is so awesome of them!).
All in all, I can’t say enough good stuff about Abide. Most highly recommend it. It’s 1000% worth every penny.Show lessAndieRose3
Better than medication
I used to take medication to help me get to sleep. Upon discovering Abide, I use the sleep stories to help me settle, relax, meditate on God’s word and pray. I am always asleep before the end of the story. I bought the subscription for story variety.
My 9-year-old is having difficulty getting to sleep and was using melatonin before bed. Now that there are Bible stories geared to children, I can put one on for him with background sounds, and he is asleep in 5-10 minutes.

I have been engaging and engaged with the abide app for a couple of years now. As a former pastor, a licensed marriage and family therapist, and a certified sex addiction therapist, I find numerous points of inspiration and often daily application in my counseling practice. As the abide app often begins with deep breathing, body awareness exercises, and prayer mantras, so too, variations of these are used in my work with clients. I am also clinical director ofGrace healing journey counseling center and as such I am responsible for leading and directing four other therapists. We begin each team meeting with a time of inspiration and devotion. I can say that on many occasions what has been infused into me through the abide app engagement gets passed on to my therapists in some form. One of the things that has come out of my listening to and engaging with the abide app is that it has motivated me to walk through the Gospels with an eye on seeing Jesus as a counselor. The best investment I ever done was to purchase this app. Suffering from anxiety for years and not sleeping this definitely got me to be at peace fight against fear and anxiety and to be reminded that Jesus did not give us the spirit of fear. There are great stories and versus that are referred to for you to meditate. You can also choose from the options your calming melody for background music I’m now at a place after 12 months to no longer needing the app and I can sleep in peace with no worries!
