Update: Thank you Ryan Hawkins!!!! He was so helpful and was able to resolve my account issues within minutes! I am so thankful and grateful! After emailing their support. I am changing my review from 1 star to 5 stars!

I can’t link my new debit that was issued from my bank. I keep getting this error message saying that my card is linked to another Payactiv account… like how???? I just got this debit card. I have no other Payactiv accounts either. I contacted customer via chat and they said that there is nothing they can do about it because it’s a technical issue on their end and that they can’t fix it. Their only solution is to use another card. Well, I don’t want to use another card. I want to use the bank card my paycheck is deposited into. I will be definitely telling my employer about this so they can look for another company to use other than Payactiv.

Run!

Run far far away. This app is awful. Just downloaded today because I found out that supposedly Paychex flex users (no matter the job) can qualify for pay on demand. I needed some cash so I’m like okay. Literally 6 hours later, still can’t use the app. When I first got in, everything appeared fine until I tried to connect my Paychex Flex account with Payactiv. It refused to connect and kept itself on a continuous loop saying “loading applications.” Nothing ever loaded. Tried multiple times, uninstalling and reinstalling the app, even turning my phone off and on before reinstalling and nothing. So reached out to customer support. They are good for nothing. They supposedly escalated a ticket to look at it. So after a couple hours I’m like let me try again. So now I have 0 access to the app. Just a white loading screen. Nothing else. This app is awful and doesn’t even work. How it has 4 stars is beyond. Those reviews have to be fake. Look at the 1 star reviews. All of them say the same thing. I may update this review depending on if/when they respond to this supposed ticket.

Don’t fall for it

I originally signed up because the prospect of getting my check early sounded great my first deposit wasn’t early but I got it now I am still waiting for my second week of pay through the service I have called customer service and talked to three different people and no one could help just kept transferring me around and hanging up on me basically after trying all night finally got someone on the line to be told wait until tomorrow and try again.

After speaking with different agents first one told me technical issues try Venmo or another digital wallet service 2nd one told me I would be reimbursed for the additional charge for getting my own money since the company was having technical issues and third person had me wait three days only to say yes what I said in my review is respected and no I did not lie but all he can tell me is I’m sorry so please trust me your better off taking your business elsewhere also the feature that ppl do like about this company which seems to be daily access to your earned wages or something like that is a feature that is not available to everyone it’s only available if your company works directly with Payactiv and provides that feature

Pathetic

I have had an endless stream of problems with this app and its supposed “customer support.” I have not been able to utilize this employer provided service for two months because they are apparently having issues connecting with Paychex Flex whom my employer uses for payroll. What kind of “technical issue” takes 2 months to fix, and what kind of company doesn’t formulate a temporary workaround in a situation like this? Their “customer support” is utterly useless as they only give the same canned, scripted response to my requests for information or updates. The response they continually give is “these type of complicated technical issues can take longer than average. It may take a few hours to resolve.” Well, Payactiv, its been about 475 hours since my “ticket was created and escalated to high priority” as your rude & discourteous representatives keep quoting me from their script. I’m curious, is this a “technical issue,” or a legal or financial issue? I don’t know how you can run a business this way. Find a solution.

This is a bad app and online tooo

First of all. The support agent don’t help at all!!!! They will tell you your number to look into your account and if they see a problem they won’t fix it!!!!! And when you tell them your problem they don’t fix it!!!!!! I’m tired of being nice to these people. After you tell them your problems depending on the problem, then they will tell you to show them your pay stub and when you do show them your pay stub, they telling you wait until the deduction of this payment is paid on this date. When you have bills to pay!!! And you want to access your pay activ account to transfer money to pay your bills early!!! You earn that money!!!! you can’t because of the deduction of what payment you owe them will come out of your check paid in full on that date!!!! It’s the same thing as the support team email. I told them my problem and it’s the same thing the agent support says. This is stupid. But they say don’t hesitate to email us or chat with us we’re here to help. YALL NOT HELPING AT ALLL!!! Yall take long time to fix things tooo. And waiting for the supervisor to call back. They call back LATE!!!

Bad app - worse company

The app is quirky and “sticks” at times… of course, when you most need it. The bank - supposedly based in Kansas City (but I had to call numbers on the west coast during Pacific time) just on a whim decided to block my card. My card, with my money, from my payroll from my workplace. Think about that real long and hard. On their indiscretion they can separate you from YOUR money and standout any given moment. For 5 days after calling a number of people in different parts of the country who had thick accents that were almost impossible to understand, I had been told to call other places and to wait for THEIR HOURS. THEY WOULD NOT FIX THE ISSUE THEY CREATED AND I HAD TO WAIT FIVE (5) DAYS TO GET MY MONEY. **MY** MONEY. BETTER CHOICES: Chime, Revolut, Ally, SoFi for starters… ANYTHING BUT PAYACTIV!! They didn’t give a @$&! Until AFTER I had issues - then they out in public “oh! Contact us! We will give you priority treatment! Far too little - far too late. I’ve contacted the corporation I work for with my grievances, and we are submitting a petition to stop supporting them - apparently others I work with have had the same bullying. This company highlights precisely why we never ever want to go to a “cashless” society.

FALSE ADVERTISING

This company has had my direct deposit in an account with a prepaid debit card to go along with the account, but I can’t access my funds. They only tell me that they appreciate my patience and are sorry for the inconvenience! Inconvenience? That’s the wrong word.. Try theft! They are make money hand over fist because they are gaining interest on my money every day it stays in that account. They said it is affecting everyone who uses Payactiv services. Imagine all those accounts gaining interest this whole time and all of us not being able to access our money that we depend on to feed our children and take care of our basic needs and all they can say is we’re working on it for 3 days now. I am reporting this company to whatever organization that deals with fraud and theft . This is ridiculous. No eta as to when I will get access to my funds and a supervisor was supposed to reach out to me but that was over 5 hrs ago. They offered to send me a paper check but it would take 10-12 days to get it to me? Ever heard of overnight delivery?? I don’t care if you have to pay for every person to overnight their checks. Make this right! People don’t work so that you can claim your issue is being worked on for 3 days while you gain interest on my money! Scam and I am reporting you!

Avoid using there card services

Honestly, I never write reviews. But I am so frustrated with the lack of customer service and knowledge of the people that work for this company. On the website, it tells you if you sign up for their debit card, your funds will be available immediately. With the digital debit card. That is a lie. The digital card doesn’t work. Every time you call they say they’re working on it an do not have a timeframe of when it will be able to work again. It would be better for you to use your personal debit card. Even a cash app card anything but their card until you get your hardcopy in the mail. The app is OK. Don’t let these people fool you. You work hard for you money. Make it your priority to have it because they won’t.

Poor Customer Service!!!!

I have been dealing with PayActiv through my employer for 2 years now. Ever since I’ve started using their services I’ve had nothing but problems. My hours are never updated automatically, I’m forever sending a copy of my timesheet via email or chat in order for the update to be submitted. Recently I’ve started having to go back and forth with the reps because some of them claim new procedures does not allow them to submit the manually anymore, but then there’s some reps that still does. To my opinion that’s just another excuse to not have to go through the trouble. As of today all of a sudden there is a technical glitch causing me not to be able to transfer my funds to my personal checking account. Very poor service, and as soon as I am back to work on Monday I will be notifying my payroll department of all of my troubles. Hopefully they will choose another company to go through.
