Great idea but executed poorly

This is an awesome idea… if it would actually work. 9 times out of 10, it doesn’t update for days. So if you need to access your “earnings” you have to hope you have some built up already cause it’s unlikely you’ll have access to said “earnings” within the last 2-3 days of a pay period. God forbid you have to clock in and out twice in a day cause they will only put 1 of them up, usually the least amount worked. Their customer service people can’t help and sound like robots saying the same thing “just wait 24-48 hours” or “I assure you the hours will update within 24-48 hours” (I assure you, they do NOT). Features get added then removed with no notice or explanation. Most of the time if you need to chat or call them their answer will always be “I’m sorry about the inconvenience this has caused you but I can’t…” I’ve had enough. I’ll go without before I attempt to use this app again. I tried for months. I reported bugs and offered ideas but was ignored.

Ridiculous

My PayActiv account was not showing the hours I worked for the last 3 days, even though it showed it for all of last week. I chatted with their rep and he apologized for the inconvenience, but it still left me with no ability to get an advance on my next paycheck. Hours later I received a text message the issue has been resolved, but when I checked the app, it still did not show the hours I worked . I called customer service, was put on hold and then hung up on. I called back again and also chatted again and all I was told was sorry for the inconvenience.
On the app I sent screen shots of my time card showing the days and hours that I worked , but those were rejected because it did not have my name or employer number on them. My company uses Unifocus so the time card does not show that information. So my time card which my company uses to pay me is not good enough for your app?? As of this minute , the app shows no hours worked for the past 3 days!!
So because of there inconvenience, I have no access to my pay check and therefore have no money to buy food for today or to buy gas to get to work tomorrow!!!

Rocky start, strong follow-up

When I first tried to get money before payday, it was very frustrating because it just wouldn’t work on the website. After a few online chats with customer service, they couldn’t seem to solve the issue. A day later, a representative named Ryan Hawkins called me on the phone and very courteously asked about the issue and walked me through a solution: it turns out just using the APP instead of the website made it work. Highly recommended this app over the website for using the Earned Wage Access feature of Payactiv, and also recommended calling and asking for Ryan Hawkins if you run into trouble. Thanks again to Ryan, and thanks to the app developers.

Always getting funds late

This app is always late to process funds to my account. It adds in the funds from before i took my lunch… but thats it and its the lowest amount obviously. I have to wait hours sometimes not even until the next day do i get the other half of my funds - The app also doesn’t update the way it should and they say they can’t manually update hours for same day to speed up pay but i had a rep do it for me. Asked for my timesheet then got my funds immediately. Poor company and the customer service is awful too like if you’re on a live chat they will end it before the conversation even ends , it’s ridiculous. If your on a call with them they will say be right back not even 10 seconds later the call ends, they need better representation because the people you employ have a big impact on your company image too.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY

They lie, they WILL steal your money. They make you pay to access your own money. The theory is good…. If it wasnt the most terribly run and executed company IN THE WORLD. Somehow my time was correct in the app yet was “lost” in their main system and they were “fixing it”. That never happened. Then they told me that I needed to RE SEND IN my time sheet. Ok well thats not how businesses work. It’s 3 am and I dont just have a way to access my time sheet from home. Bc it has to be OFFICIAL. Not your personal time sheet. They have the WORST customer service. Trust me don’t even download it. I’m calling the head of my payroll today and I’m convincing them to switch to DailyPay. I promise your going to want to do the same. Money will go missing. You will never get an answer and the chat staff are RUDE. Good luck. Thanks for the half butted response Payactiv. I HAVE contacted yall. In fact Grace Ashby was supposed to be “fixing” my situation and instead screwed me over more. So no. I will NOT be giving you a 100th chance to “fix it”. I will however be advocating my business to never use yours again though. Best of luck. 10 years and you still have terrible reviews. Maybe it’s time to give it up. Bc I for one am tired of you screwing with my money.

PayActiv DOES NOT care

Ever since I have started my new job, and I have started using Payactiv. I have had nothing but difficulties with the application and services. PayActiv DOES not update wages and hours like they said they do. My account had not been updated in THREE WEEKS ( since June 14) . I have had to constantly reach out to payactiv to update my hours/accessible wages everytime I have needed to do something. I am being told the same thing constantly with no answers and am extremely frustrated. I was talking to support again not too long ago and the support tech closed the chat out on me after talking for a bit. I am quite livid at how I am being pushed off to the side with my inquiries. I just want answers, but it has been made very VERY clear that you guys do not care. Not to mention, I do still receive confirmation texts talking about withdrawing funds from my check even though they have already been withdrawn. I have asked about this before and have not received answers as well, if money is still being taken from my checks. I want it back.

It’s okay!

Every time I open this app I log in but it doesn’t load and I have to open the app 3 or 4 times before it finally logs me in to access my money. My phone & the app are up to date so I’m not really sure why I keep having to go through this. I’ve had issues ever since I downloaded this app. They really should fix it cause I never had this issue when I used DailyPay and this makes me not want to use it at all. Also having to pay 2.99 EVERY single time I want to cash out is a bit dramatic. Really should have something where after a certain amount of times cashing out you can do it for free cause quite frankly it’s ridiculous. Everything is expensive now a days and I shouldn’t have to pay $3 dollars anytime I need to cash my money out. I’m already broke lol

Super slow, very inconvenient

Let me first start out by saying that I NEVER write reviews, and this the first one I’ve written in years, like 10 years.

This app, while great in theory leaves tons to be desired in execution. For starters it doesn’t log hours very quickly at all, and when it does it usually only logs hours up until your first clock out, such as lunch. As of today I have worked 2 whole shifts for 16 hours, and with my hourly pay should have 140 available to me, but the hours this app logged so far is the firsr 4 hours till my lunch yesterday, they also trickle out the amount that is available, not based on the time you worked, but basically 4 hours at time making you request multiple times and therefore paying the charge multiple times making them a profit, it feels intentional at worst, and inefficient at best. Got bills to pay with no access to my earned wages that this app advertises. Skip this app if you can.

Great Idea - Poorly Developed App/Website

The idea was to allow payactiv users to get a payday loan, shortly after working their scheduled hours for their employer, however, in my experience it could take up to 48 hours for Payactiv to update your “available balance”. I find it more difficult to use their app as it doesn’t load any information half the time and in some instances, even if you have an available balance, you’re unable withdraw any funds because of app/server errors.

I find that the recent transactions are slow to update, sometimes taking up to 2 hours before I’m able to see results of the most recent transactions.

Overall, this app is more of a headache than it’s worth. If your employer doesn’t offer this service, it’s not worth bothering to download. The Even app works so much more smoothly than Payactiv.

Thief’s

They will steal your money they do not give out big amounts. The picture with $412 is fake they would never give that much money out to you. They will cut you off if u even get that much after two weeks of taking money here and there. They will start giving you $10 a day then when I get paid they like $50 out for that day they gave you $10. You can’t get ahold to these ppl i been calling for a hours and 10 minutes and 25 seconds in on hold they hang up and tell you to contact them in live chat. They put a text verification on there without telling anyone about it and used a number from my paychex that has nothing to do with them and guess what that’s a old number so I don’t have it and can no longer log in so what does this mean to for me? That I will never be able to log back in because they do not take there job professionally and will slack and not work. They won’t answer any calls or emails or messages on social media. They responded on Facebook said they can help straight a way then never responded again. They will even take a portion of the money u owe just to wait til your next paycheck and take the rest with a whole different pay periods money just so they can take your whole check. I do not recommend a bunch of crooks
