Issues with the app
I received one box that i ordered throygh the website and lived everything. I then downloaded the app and have been unable to get an order placed ever since. The app would take me through the process of getting to paying the styling fee but then kick me our back to the sign in page, where it woyld be glitchy and flashing and not let me sign back in. Then I would get a text message from daily look saying they are preparing my order and if i want to give feedback on items click the order link, so I would. It would take me into the app where it would say there are no boxes/orders to review. I have tried deleting the app and redownloading it and still have the same problem. This has been going on for over 6 months now and nothing gets fixed. You’re losing money Daily Fix!

App is basic and clothing is overpriced
This app feels like it’s is bare bones MVP expectations for an app. There are a lot of bugs (character limits, back buttons not working, lack of seamless navigation on style boards, load times, etc) that make it too frustrating to keep using. The load times on styles are really slow, and it’s not very intuitive to the user when you “like a style” what part you are notifying your stylist about u less you add a note. Manually doing that every time takes away from the UX in my opinion. Additionally not knowing prices on clothing until it arrives and only at checkout feels a bit sneaky. I got 10 items in my first box and each was close to if not more than $100 per item. The quality of most of the clothing seemed higher end for sure so that was nice but some items just didn’t make sense. $100 for a sweatshirt that said “southern” was too much for me. I will say the return process was really simple. Only feedback there is that the return bag just barely was big enough for all the items. Perhaps there aren’t many use cases in which customers return the whole order but I struggled to get all items into my bag.

App is annoying
I'm disappointed that the app does not work better. Functionality is way better on the website. I use another boxed clothing app (Stitch Fix) that is way more functional. I am not unhappy with the clothes Daily Look sends; although I do not keep all of the clothes, it is fun for me to have a few surprises and try them on at home. So far, though, I am way more satisfied with the app for Stitch Fix.
Also - as far as some of the other reviews - they are clear up front that the clothes will cost a certain amount per item,... so, Daily Look is not the best option for filling up a closet on a budget.

Non-user friendly App and service
The app itself is not the best functionality. I found better use on the actual website itself. The app is difficult to find other services/offerings. When you click on different styles to view and go back you lose you place and have to rescroll through. The available styles themselves aren’t the best selections, and don’t let you leave a note like “love the shirt only” or even see what colors/patterns they come in. You can’t favor select items in an image you have to favor the whole look, which, I’m sorry, doesn’t always work for people.
I got a box preview for my second box in which none of the items were to my liking or where following my style profile. I emailed my stylist to alert her to this and they would only change out a few items and not the whole box. Big surprise that the box came and I have returned the full thing. Also, everything is super expensive. Even if you select a specific price range, they will go to the top end and above it.

Service is great, App Not so great
My stylist has done a great job getting to know what works for my lifestyle. The call center is helpful when the app doesn’t work.
The clothes are on the expensive side. Jeans are expensive but fit so good! A was sent a tshirt that was over $100. But I was also received an awesome knit blazer that was only $88
The app is awful. I can’t track my return, the button doesn’t work. I can’t fill in the survey boxes because it cuts off the bottom of the screen. I can’t add links to my Pinterest in the place where it says to add links. I often have to close the app to get out of a screen.

False Advertisement
So I realize that not everyone has this problem, but due to my algorithm or whatever on social media, I was bombarded with ads for Daily Look for quite a while. The models on my particular advertisements were plus size curvy girls (of which I am one) and the styles were just what I was looking for. As a plus size girl its hard for me to find the right style, and I was really excited when I was seeing clothing that I liked on models that looked more or less like my body type. So I downloaded the app and had to pay for the service before I could check it out. Where are the models and styles from the ads? The only models I see are very slender, basically wearing different versions of the same clothes. I feel like I fell for some kind of bait and switch, and it’s really disappointing.

Buggy, not user friendly, few pics
I have been very disappointed with the service so far. I got my first preview and hated everything but they only let you remove three things so i have to receive the rest of the stuff that i know i wont buy. I tried to message my stylist but the in-app message feature doesn’t work, so I tried to use the “email stylist” link hut it links to the mail app which I don’t use (use gmail app and outlook app) but it wouldn’t just give me the email address so I had to download apple mail app just to send a note. I went to update my profile after being so disappointed in the pics and some of my preferences were incorrect from what I had selected, while ofhers were selected correctly but clearly the stylist had ignored (prefer to cover cleavage but a dress that was full plunge to the point where you couldn’t even wear a bra was selected). I tried to look at the “styles” tab to help give more info and there are only like a dozen outfit style boards! None of which really fit with what I’m looking for. I’m in my mid-thirties and have used similar services and this has been the worst experience so far.

Some good, some not so
Trying daily look, after being with a competitor for a while. The good? I like the models are not all size 4, so i can really get an idea of how something will look and fit. My first box had some nice things, but a bit pricey.
The not so much, the app lacks enough variety to mark my likes and show my style. This service uses UPS, which is less convenient than other services which use the US Postal Service. part of the reason that I do this is I live in a remote area so shopping is difficult but that also makes returning something to a UPS location difficult.
On my First box, I received a few cute things, and some things that were totally contrary to what I had outlined my style was like. For example, indicated I didn’t like loud geometric patterns, but I got these loud geometric pants.
App is not as easy to navigate as the competitors.

They didn’t look at style profile survey at all!
I marked the selection for no skinny jeans on my survey, and guess what the first item in my box preview is? Skinny jeans 🙄 I said that I wanted bright colors and everything in my box is grey, white, or brown. Oh there is one very dark green cardigan. I was hoping for bold, interesting items that I wouldn’t normally pick for myself in a store; this looks like a bunch of normie moms went on a shopping spree at walmart together and their theme of the day was “beige”. You can refuse 3 items out of your box preview, but they are all hideous. I’ve used other box subscriptions before, so I’m familiar with the process, but I’ve never encountered one that did the complete polar opposite of what I requested in my comments. It’s so bad.

Could be better
First…I’ve been using the service for 6 months. The selection is pretty good if somewhat overpriced. While I appreciate being able to communicate with my stylist (which is the primary saving grace for this review), the service and app have a way to go. I have been delivered damaged clothing & was withheld boxes when I returned the damaged goods (so essentially held accountable for damage I didn’t do). I have been charged styling fees during three months that I did not receive a box bc I didn’t understand that my account was held bc I returned damaged goods (see previous sentence)…to be fair, those have now been refunded but only bc I realized what was happening. I have not been able to sign into the app or request a password reset and have gotten error messages consistently for a couple of weeks now which will require additional assistance from them. There are small technical complaints regarding the function of the app (word count restrictions, annoying return to the top of the page when liking style selections, etc) that I hope will be resolved, but my primary complaints have to do with the service issues that could result in my departure altogether.
