  • It’s just OK.

It seems that the app is not as functional for Apple phones as it is for androids. I’m unable to view any other teams in the competition. I am unable to view the daily activity of each individual on my team. I can only view my teams Individual seven day totals. There’s not enough question and answer information for help on the app. I would have thought there would be a lot more ability to adjust settings.

  • Walker Tracker

An excellent app. that I have used all year for the AVA Walk Across Canada. I am continuing to use it even though I finished the walk.
Would like to see some way to find a team to join.
Thank you for your hard work.

  • Fitbit frustrations

I sync my Fitbit to Fitbit’s cloud/Internet presence, I wait 10 minute, and then I check with this app ( because this app is used by our organization). If I am lucky, the count it claims to have gotten from Fitbit’s site (which I had to give it permission to access, and too much permission in my opinion) is wrong/old by 6 hours.

This makes things DISCOURAGING because now I appear to be a slacker (which right now, I am). This app has never been perfect with Fitbit products/website (I have owned 3 different types of Fitbit devices), but right now, it is the pits.

I gave it 2 stars because like a broken clock, it may be right twice a day.

We're sorry that you are experiencing this frustration! Fitbit only sends steps over to Walker Tracker intermittently throughout the day, so there will often be times when the applications don't match each other. However, we would like to make sure there isn't a bigger issue happening with your account. If you could send a message to our customer care team at support@walkertracker.com, they will do some research into your particular account setup. Thank you.
  • Self reporting ruins competition

I wouldn’t recommend using this for any sort of competition. Looks like you can just manually enter activity and it will convert it into steps. I was very discouraged once I saw that I was consistently beat at the end of the day by someone entering in activities.

It seems like this is a common complaint but the responses from the company just gloss over how this is an obvious flaw. They are unable to accommodate people that may not want to carry their phone or get a wearable. It’s a competition! There needs to be a way to be held accountable. It should at least be made very obvious on the leaderboard how many are real steps and how many steps are activity steps.

I was really excited about this competition and am very discouraged to even participate. What’s the point when someone can just add steps and beat you. Will be deleting and no longer participating. I even spoke to others at my company and they feel like it’s pointless to try. We have a month long competition and the “winner” has been adding activities so will probably win it in a week or two. Wow. Not fun and kind of has made me despise some coworkers. Haha.

We're sorry to hear of the frustration you are having with your challenge. The issues you are describing are related to how your organization's program administrator may have designed your challenge rather than an issue with the Walker Tracker application. If you contact our support team at support@walkertracker.com, they will be able to help get you information about how to contact your administrator. Thank you
  • Gets most of the job done

It’s easy to use and it quickly logs steps with my employer. The Apple version does not display total steps. It isn’t so hard to enter alternate exercises, like cycling. But I rarely go to the trouble.
  • Really enjoying this App

We joined the app as part of a town competition. It’s great motivation to see where you are individually but also how the town teams rank. We used to do Fitbit challenges with friends but it could only be with other people who had Fitbits. This opens it up to more people with different types of fitness trackers.

  • Could be better

I like that the app is compatible with my phone and Fitbit but it has some mechanical issues. So far for me I have to be very conscious of the time because after midnight it’s very hard to get it to sync data from the day before (even only second after it strikes 12). I use it for a competition and I got cheated several thousand steps just because of this issue. Other members in my team registered zero steps because the app doesn’t automatically register your steps if you don’t open the app up daily. It could function a little better for conversation with team members. Also when you take a picture with the app it doesn’t save to your phone so in order to keep the picture you’d have to screenshot it or take the picture with your camera first and then upload. Little things could make it a better app. That said, it works well for the competition because we all use the same platform to keep our tallies. These issues are just a source of frustration, especially because competition usually means you’re trying to win and the app is causing me to do more work than I need to by not functioning as effectively as I would like.

Hello, I'm sorry you're seeing those issues. You shouldn't need to open the app every day, and there may have been a permissions issue in syncing which we can help you correct if you write in to support@walkertracker.comAlso, we can look into the photo issue you are seeing.Additionally, we offer a 48 hour grace period at the end of any competition in which to provide correct any missing steps. In general, if you ever have an issue you can write to support@walkertracker.com in order to see if its an issue with the program or a unique glitch we can fix. Thank you for moving with us,
  • Very helpful

I was having some issues with syncing my Fitbit with the app (my issues, not the app 🤓). I emailed support and within a couple of hours got a response. Everything was good then. Like I said, my issue, not the app. Great app! I love it!
  • Missing Workout Types

This has the potential to be the best exercise/ cardio application for steps I’ve ever used, but it’s lacking variety in types of workouts that you can log. For instance, a stair master, walking on a treadmill/ slower pace than 12 minute miles, hiking, canoeing etc. If things like this are added to the app, it will not only give people more incentive to try new workout types, but it will also allow people to track workouts (steps) more accurately.

All of the activities you see available to you are determined by your particular organization's wellness program administrator and not a limitation of the Walker Tracker application. We'd be happy to help get you in contact with your administrator so you can request those additional activities for your program. Just send us a message at support@walkertracker.com. Thank you!
  • Meh

It’s a confusing app. I don’t care for it. It also doesn’t track activity well. It will sync to my Fitbit and get all my steps, however, if I try to add an activity to get points for the day it will double count steps. That isn’t right. And when you’re in competitions with others they might be double dipping those steps and it doesn’t work correctly. Also difficult to navigate
