Almost complete lack of backup from developers
I have this installed on 2 devices - an iPod Pro and a Galaxy phone. I paid for premium using the Galaxy and that was fine - everything as it should be. This should have given me the Premium version on all other devices - it hasn't!
I have tried to get the developers to help, but it ends up as a 'circular' attempt to fix, which goes nowhere.
I actually have a 50% fix right now - I can communicate with my back-up option (premium) but cannot lose the ads - incredibly frustrating!
Other than this - it's quite a good diary, unfortunately though, because of the lack of meaningful developer assistance and the mishmash of premium facilities (the point is that it's been paid for!)I can't give it better than 1 star.Show lessAN OTHER Davyboy

I love the look and feel of this app. I am a PRO member/subscriber and have been for some time, with over a thousand entries. However, I have been trying to contact the company for support for well over a month and have sent multiple emails, but there has been ZERO response or even acknowledgement. My support questions are deal-breakers, and I conveyed that in my emails, but no reply at all. As a result, I have started testing other apps and will (reluctantly) move if I can't get a response. I can't trust a product that has no support, so my 5-star review has become a 1-star.
The issue I tried to reach support about was that you sync your data, every entry re-dated to the date of sync rather than the date of creation, and there is no way (other than typing it in) I can find to preserve a record of the date the entry was made. This is a MASSIVE issue. The purpose of a diary/diary app is to create a dated record of events. Most of my entries are made on mobile, and so I have sync from the web app in order to see the entries made on mobile. They don't auto-sync, and when I manually sync in the web app, every entry is given the date of the sync, ruining the purpose of dated entries.
I hope that this review will spark some response from the developers, instead of being ignored like my emails. I'll update my review at some point to reflect that outcome.Show lessgreekgodsoncrossyroad

I’ve been using Diaro for years. It’s truly the best journaling/app. The UI is easy to use and customizable.... I love that there are security features, and also I love that the list of features this app has continues to grow, with the additions of links, photo, locations, etc that can be added to entries... the team continues to make this app better and better. I really appreciate the developers for always being so responsive to feedback and so quick in bug bashing if anything ever arises (and honestly I rarely run into issues!). I always recommend this app to friends and family looking to keep a journal, and I always recommend the Pro version too because it’s so affordable and beyond worth it. Great app and great support
Moved over from the now unsupported Dailybook app and this does everything that that did abs much more. I use an iPhone and also have a windows laptop and the sync facility with Dropbox is seem less. Had a slight snag with logging onto my laptop account, but a quick email to the support team quickly resolved the issue. I just hope it remains supported for years to come!! 5 Stars for 5 Years
I have had this app for almost five years. Today I wrote my 500 entry (and I feel bad for never leaving a review). Though I just love how easy and simple it is to use. The ability to add tags, and sort with folders and it’s all completely free. Most diary and writing apps believe or not you need a subscription. I couldn’t even lock those apps without paying. And for free, this app supports Touch ID and you can have a passcode. Minor details that I like is the ability to change the UI color and font style. A feature that they recently added was that you can go back a year or two on that day of the year to read what you written. That’s my favorite feature, and has made me want to write more often so I always have something to look back on. The app also has a character and word count, which is useful, since I have a goal of writing a minimum of 1,500 words everyday. I don’t need the pro version as the app offer so much for free, but I would buy it just to support the developers. I love this app, and I highly recommend it for whatever you plan to write.Show lessTheCometDragon

Searched and tried a few other diary apps and always kept coming back to Diaro. Been using Diaro on a daily basis for over six months - thats around 180 entries with only one continuing issue. Sometimes entries made on my iPad are not updated and when I use the iPhone those entries don’t appear and I loose those notes. Can be very annoying to remember and retype those notes. Otherwise the app has great features and the location and tags are wonderful for searching. Easy to set up and simple to use and has top line features. I was wanting security, backup and device syncing (most of the time) and Diaro provides them all. The upgrade paid version is worth it.Show lessrdbozzie

Does exactly what it says on the box! Great features packed into a slick interface. I encountered a minor issue with being unable to see a button which had become almost invisible with iOS’s new dark mode.
