ClassPass will not offer full refund when business cancelled massage

I have had a very frustrating and disappointing experience with ClassPass today. I had booked a massage a week in advance via ClassPass, so I have paid in full using ClassPass credits prior to the appointment. The day before the appointment, it was cancelled by the business. ClassPass have refunded the credits to my account, but as my ClassPass membership renews in 4 days, and as I do not wish to renew and spend even more money on ClassPass membership, I will not get a chance to use them. This is confounded by the fact that I am also going on holiday, so I only actually have two days to use the credits, and due to a lack of availability, this is impossible. I find it astounding that I can book and fully pay for a relatively expensive service like a massage, but when the booking cannot be honoured through no fault of my own, I am not entitled to a refund. ClassPass T&Cs appear to seek to limit my legal rights as a consumer, as if I had booked direct with the business, I would be entitled to a refund or rebooking, but due to the way ClassPass credits work, I can get neither. I would not recommend booking an expensive service with ClassPass. As has happened to me, it could transpire that you don’t get what you pay for, you can’t get your money back, and even if you get a refund of the credits used, you won’t necessarily be able to use them.

ClassPass is a game changer

I can’t say enough good things about ClassPass. I was bored and unmotivated after five years of at-home online workouts when I came across an ad for ClassPass. It gives me the flexibility to try different kinds of workouts at different gyms, find something that fits my challenging schedule and have the option to workout near my office or near home. Each class works out to be cheaper on balance than buying single classes or 5 or 10 class passes at the gym. Love it and hope it’s around forever, because I don’t see myself committing hundreds of dollars a month to workout at a single gym. The app functionality is smooth and easy, user interface is exactly what an app should be.

They steal your personal information and sell it

They refused to delete my account and delete my personal information. I have told my lawyer husband already and he will be filing a lawsuit against them. It’s illegal to not allow users to delete their personal info. Also the user experience is trash

App won’t let me pay

App and website won’t like me pay for credits to take a class. Website keeps confirming the reservation but not actually going thru. App just keeps saying “oops, something went wrong.” App is most updated version. Customer service said attempts to charge my payment method on file have been declined. I’ve tried 4 different cards that all work. The website/app is broken.

Horrendous customer service

Worst customer service I’ve ever had to deal with. They charged me a cancellation fee even though I had cancelled the class more than 12 hours prior. Can’t cancel your account without losing the credits you’ve already paid for.

Possible SCAM??? No customer service?

Like most of the reviews this year, most are commenting on horrendous customer service, which seems more like a AI bot.

There is a phone number for the company listed online, but their chat rep says there is no phone number & no email to contact them.

I was told I would be emailed regarding their numerous tech errors which kicks me out of the app or won’t allow booking just listing an error message.

I still haven’t received an email.

I was a user for most of the year as it was more convenient for my schedule, but the tech errors that prevented booking were almost constant. Why pay for an app that doesn’t work? With no customer response?

Seeing nothing but 1 star reviews, I regret recently signing up. I haven’t been able to book & have already been charged.
