  • Doesn’t support Apple passwords

Robust security is the most important feature in a health app, and the Stanford MyHealth app fails miserably.

It does not support Apple password or keychain. Every time you sign in, it requires you to copy your password from the password settings in order to pasted in. Instead, it should offer the option to automatically insert the password using Face ID or your phone password.

It’s easier to use the web, which does in fact support, Apple passwords.

  • App ok but needs work

The app is ok but needs some work in a few areas. There are a few things you can do on the online site but not through the app. But what I find most annoying is having to reenter my password every time I login. I have given the app all permissions including Face ID and camera. I also have the “remember me” button enabled, but every single time the app requires me to enter my password again manually. I tried changing my password to see if that made any difference but that didn’t work either. Out of the dozens of apps on my phone this is the only one that has this problem.

  • Patient

I am a new patient @ Byers Eye Clinic. I am an ex CVA patient as a SDH due to trauma. I’ve been nothing but grateful for the attention received. I find clinic visits satisfying and infirmary. I would like to know why my examining couldn’t be condensed in 1day especially since I have to drive >90 mi. ea way to sit in the waiting room about an hour to complete a test 10-15 min long.

  • Good but needs improvement

Ok app overall but it would be helpful to have a search feature on the message inbox or sent list to back track key words for referencing past communication with providers instead of endlessly scrolling. I really hope they include this feature since it is Stanford & pamf has this feature on their app already. Stanford should be ahead of the game here. Please make this improvement as a medical care manager it makes my job easier. Thank you for your time & consideration.

  • Thank you to those that helped me

Everyone was working hard, considering being short staff, during a Big holiday. We sat there for 4 1/2 hours, although what I thought was an emergency, wasn’t. Thank God!
A word of advice to staffing supervisor, no matter what holiday, your staff should always be staffed well, that goes for all DEPARTMENTS!

  • Well designed

As a patient, I find the app well laid out and highly functional.

However, when I get notified of something, it’s not always clear on the app as to how I get to what I was notified for. The notifications icon in the top corner of the app does not show all notifications but rather just a subset.

For example, I received a push notification “Assigned content from your care team”. Tapping that opened the app but just brought me to the Home Screen. Clicking the notifications icon did not list this push notification. Only after reading an email for the same notification did I learn how to get to underlying content.

  • Never remembers password, doesn’t use Keychain or FaceID

I use complex passwords for everything. This app makes that tough. It doesn’t remember me, include FaceID, or trigger Keychain. That means that every time I open the app, I have to go to my computer, open my password manager, find my password, and then manually type a long complex password into the app without making a mistake. End result, I absolutely hate using this app. It makes doing something urgent impossible and something simple complex.

    Developer Response

We support FaceID and TouchID. We prompt to associate your password with first login to app. If that was not done, you can go to SETTINGS in the app side menu and turn on FaceID/TouchID. You will need to login once after that and associate your password, after that your password will be securely encrypted in the keychain and you will be able to login with TouchID or FaceID.
  • Login fields not properly setup

The login fields do not allow you to use saved passwords. This is such a basic thing that it scares me to use the app. If they can’t get that simple thing right then it’s hard to trust them with my medical information. A regular app I would just take off a star for this but medical apps need to be very closely scrutinized so something this egregious drops it to one star even though I haven’t even logged in yet.

  • Less than 1 star.

Please make the older version available for older phones.
No stars. Not everyone has the latest phone and My Health no longer works on mine. Major inconvenience
  • New app

You have taken away a good service for people that have an old phone. I use my health at Stanford all the time.

Now I have nothing but try to call. What a hassle! You had a good thing and you high tech the people that need it out. Very unfair!

I was suppose to have a Video appointment next week, now what do I do. I live over 250 miles away.

I’ve always bragged about my care and service from Stanford. But it seems you want only those people that can afford all the expensive gadgets.

I have one more surgery in two days at Stanford and I can’t look up information on my phone to ready myself, thanks a lot
