Smartphone streaming no longer works with iOS 12
This feature worked on previous versions, but I cannot get it to load at all with iOS 12.Windows Phone was better
Want an Onkyo 4 App Please!
Onkyo Team, I love the convenience of having this Smart Phone App to control my WiFi enabled Onkyo receiver, but was very disappointed when I was forced to updgrade from my Onkyo Remote2 App to this Remote3 App. I lost the key functionality controlling the volume for my Zone 2 outdoor speakers. No matter what settings I change or which online forum’s advice I have tried to follow, my Zone 2 volume control within the app shows as “Pre-Fixed Out” and will not let me adjust the volume. What is frustrating is that this was never an issue with my Onkyo Remote2 App, but that App is no longer compatible with my iOS version, so I’m stuck with the Remote3 App. Please make this right and send out an update or a new version to resolve this issue.Show lessMeter Eater
Works great
So much easier to use than the standard hardware remote that comes with the unit. Easy to switch between media types and presets. I use TuneIn radio and it syncs perfectly with my account.Rich from PIT
Volume control
The app works well but there are a few things that could use improvement.
- The volume control slider should always be visible. The bass and treble sliders are always visible. But I rarely use them. I use volume all the time. I would like to see volume be an “always present” slider rather than having to click an icon to get to it. When I’m rocking zone 2 on the deck, and a neighbor steps outside, I need to turn it down fast!
- Having to constantly find and connect to the receiver each time the app is opened and annoying. There has to be a way to use a background process to maintain the connection.

Need background refresh
Decent enough, but so annoying how long it takes to connect every time I open the app....assuming it connects at all. Would be nice if onkyo put a little development effort in the app from time to time, especially given the price of the equipment.The guy229@
Can’t connect sometimes
This is a great tool to use with my outside speakers so I can control the receiver but it takes a long time to connect. Sometimes it won’t at all and I have to unplug the power on the receiver to reset the WiFi even though it says it’s connected.DJSwamp
Works, just
Just about works but it’s so ugly, cumbersome, slow, clunky and full of glitches.
£600 for an audio receiver, which is excellent, but this app really puts a big dirty mark across the whole experience.Purestilton
Remote
This app work perfectly well with my 2011
TX-NR809. It allow me to do everything that the remote does. It also allow me to play songs from my phone playlists without using any aux wire or Bluetooth connection.Fungoe@23
No compatibility with apple music
This app is really disappointing, every time i try to play a song it says it is DMC restricted even though i have the song on apple music.Tha cookay kidzzzzz
Used to work but since IOS 11.0, it stopped!
Was working like a charm for more than a year but now suddendly after IOS 11.0, impossible to connect anymore.drum-major18
