What a Shame
I paid a LOT of money for a water softener/filtration system. The sales pitch for the system I got was that it was WiFi enabled and had an app that would keep me informed. Laughable. Remind app is almost useless
The app is almost always disconnected and therefore useless. It only seems to connect for a day or two around the time to regenerate. Love the softener but hate the app. Maybe they could rework the software to use Bluetooth technology.danh2468
Gets stuck registering
Setup doesn’t seem bad - easy to create an account, easy to configure the WiFi on the RainSoft system; but it gets stuck ‘Registering Account’. I don’t know if it’s waiting on human intervention or something; but I’m not getting any emails asking me to confirm the account and I even checked the junk inbox. Overall, great water cleaning system; but it’s really lacking in the smart home department. Honestly, considering the cost of the system, it’s sort of embarrassing that they couldn’t find a reliable developer to build a decent app or simply add integration with another smart home platform, like HomeKit.Show lessCAP001

Horrible app
Can’t even register. Never seen a worst quality app for the premium price product. It already has 1 star ratings that means the company doesn’t care about what customers experience. Hope their product is a quality and not like their app.12ka4
Solution Architect with Amazing Wi-Fi
I agree with many reviews here that the system is great buts it’s an embarrassment to the brand to be associated with this app. Unable to maintain a connection is an unacceptable feature and even when it used to maintain that in previous versions it’s ability as a companion to the softener was near useless. So much potential for the RainSoft brand I’m surprised they even tell people about the app with it in its current state.
I have amazing Wi-Fi coverage and gigablast speeds from Cox so definitely no issues on my end, plenty of other devices that work just fine.Show lessXtremefaith1307
No way 4+ for User
This app consistently disconnects and then you need a PHD to get it to reconnect and that is if you are lucky! I’ve never used a more difficult app to get to work. I will try one more time and if it’s still difficult then it’s deleted and I monitor the salt the old fashioned way. Remove the lid and look. I’ve spoken with the techs and they are nice and responsive but the app has issues and not worth the effort.Show less175BAV
App is horrible
Not only is it a hugely cumbersome task just to get connected (it was pending registration for hours)but if you lose power and try to RE-connect it’s even worse!!! I lost all my data in my frustration to just delete everything and start over; never received any notification if a disconnect issue and now wondering why ANYone thought this current app is so great. It’s not worth this kind of maintenance just to use this app. I’m parked next to the system.. I’ll just check it from there🤬🤬Show lessTeresa2213
Horrible
Really bad app. Half of the stuff don’t work. I have been trying to connect my device to the internet with this app and it just doesn’t work. It just says registering account but shows no information. A high school student can probably make a better app that works than this app.Elizabeth Kruger
App does not work.
This upgraded app stopped working 4 months ago. Can not reset password thru the app and is always disconnected no matter how much I try following instructions furnished by Rainsoft. Uninstalled and reinstalled with no luck. Needs URGENT update and attention from Rainsoft. Water filtration system is well built but software is none functional. If you are looking for a system with wifi monitoring look elsewhere.Show lesshamfrompr
