Awesome app, awesome customer service
I had trouble with my account, the expenses were showing in the income section and vice versa! I immediately contacted them and they got to work. They got my bank to fix what was wrong with their system! The app works perfectly, and it’s such a great help. I have three income sources and the app helps me stay organized easily. I used to do all that work myself and it’d take me hours! I’m very happy and the customer service is personalized and you speak with real people! They’re great!
The tax service is yet to be available in my state (PR) so, I don’t know about that, but, I’m hoping to be able to use the tax reports next year!

Great app, could be better
I have been using the app for a little over a month now. It has been a great help estimating my taxes for the year, tracking expenses, and tracking miles. I have two problems that prevent me from giving this app a 5-star rating. The first issue is that you can’t just turn on the tracking, you need to rely on the app being open and figuring out that you are moving. I’d say the app is about 95% reliable at doing this when it is open, and about 10% reliable at this task when closed. Typically I remember to open the app so its not a big deal…except when the app crashes in the background and I don’t notice. Having a dedicated on button would be really nice and the fact it doesn’t surprises me. My final issue with the app is its annoying incessant desire to always never be closed. I go in to check on my tax burden and move money in my budget and as soon as I close it I get an annoying pop-up and jingle. Folks, I’m not always working so seriously cut this feature out or make it so I can turn it off separate from other pop-ups. I like knowing when I need to identify payments as business/non-business, but the constant “open us back up for better tracking performance” is just obnoxious.

We do offer semi-automatic tracking, which allows you to manually start/stop the tracker to only track certain trips. In regards to keeping the app open, we recommend this because, as you've seen, Apple is very strict about apps running in the background if they're not kept open and interacted with. If you're using the automatic mileage tracker, we'd recommend ensuring that you're always keeping the app open in the background so Apple doesn't kill the app from running when you need a trip tracked. Does not track drives accurately
At this time I am not happy with the auto-logging feature when I KNOW at least two other apps that does it perfectly. I was forced to move to this app after paying for the TaxBot app because I was looking to combine auto-detection/logging my drives and storing my receipts in one app. In reviewing my drives in this app, this app is sometimes up to a 1/2 mile off. I have drives that were not detected until I was almost at the end of my street. I live .6 miles from my stop sign. Over time, those small misses add up and is not valuable to me! And trying to manually fix the drive does not change the distance and the possible deduction amount. I’ll be more than happy to change my rating if this is important enough to be fixed. If not, I’ll be going back to my two separate apps for my receipt collection and mileage logging.

New Expense Receipt Feature
I’ve been a very happy user of Hurdlr for several years. What I appreciate most is their willingness to listen to their users and incorporate great features and enhancements to their app that everyone can benefit from. The ability to add receipts in advance while waiting for an expense to hit and then matching it up at that time is fantastic. This way as soon as you get your receipt you can add it to the system and not risk the chance of losing or misplacing it. I’m very happy with Hurdlr and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to track their expenses, mileage, and income. At the end of the year all I have to do is download of few tax reports and send them to my CPA. Thank you Hurdlr for making it do easy for me to track my business!

Mileage tracking needs improvement
I had been using Taxbot for my mileage tracking, but now that it has switched to Hurdlr, I am missing some functionality. First off, I would like to be able to designate a trip as round-trip. Because sometimes I make a few personal stops on my way home from a longer trip. Secondly, I miss how the mileage tracker synced with my calendar, so that the app automatically noted what the trip was for. Thirdly, the app only shows the starting point and ending point instead of the path taken. And usually that isn't accurate, I have a hard time recalling what the trip was for. And lastly, often times the app breaks my trips up into 2-3 for some reason. Perhaps I was in traffic, or at a stop light. All of that combined makes Hurdlr clunky and less user friendly than Taxbot was.
All that said, the expense tracking works very well. Good job there Hurdlr.

Tracks location accurately and distinguishes each trip well
I use this app for DoorDash, Grubhub and Instacart in order to track miles, and it recognizes each stop pretty well. I don’t think any of these apps are completely perfect (for example if I run up to a door in 10 seconds and leave). But it captures nearly every trip, and I’m very happy with the results. Super easy to swipe left or right to categorize trips. I picked this app for it’s ability to distinguish individual trips after researching reviews online. (I used to spend hours making my own spreadsheet with Google timelines, but that’s a past I’d never relive!).
Also, it estimates quarterly taxes 😄 I add my expenses to track the tax deductions and the app tracks income from each app that I earn $. I also use this app to track income and expenses from my side private tutoring business. Get yourself one of these types of apps if you don’t have one yet.

They thought of everything!
I just started using the app a couple of days ago, but from what I’ve seen already this app has all of the bases covered for my purposes. I’m a part-time Uber driver and I was looking for something to track miles and income for my taxes. But Hurdlr has way more to offer...things I hadn’t even thought of. And they make it very easy to get all of your information put into the app. I had everything up and running and about two weeks worth of miles, income, and expenses put into the app in almost no time on the first day I installed it. I would definitely recommend that you give this product a try if you’re operating a business!

I know that I could log my own miles and expenses and income but having an app that does virtually everything for me automatically and exports for tax time is WELL worth the money; especially since you can write off the cost of the service.
My reason for four stars is simply because there is no touch of a button to signal to the app that I am working. I like that I’m able to set up work hours, but as a contractor I work in consistent hours and it would be much more convenient to be able to set a “currently working” time with an appropriate business. The problem right now with the work hours is that it does not work automatically if you have two businesses set up.

LIFE SAVING APP
I am only a few days into the free trial for the full version. I absolutely love LOVE this app and program. I cannot say that enough. It tracks mileage, it keeps records of all expenses and income. Up to date tax info tracking so I will know what to expect at the end of the year. Best financial accounting app I have ever tried. Seriously. I am simple, mother of three, food truck owner. This takes such a huge load off of my stress levels worrying about if I’m tracking or remembering everything. It’s just perfect. Completely easy to use. Best investment I have ever made for my business. I dare you to change my mind. Just perfect. Customer support is excellent as well! Quick response time and talking to real people. When I say “perfect”, I genuinely mean it.
