Disappointed

It does not give accurate addresses which I need for my records. It takes up to .5 of a mile to activate when you start driving. Also it frequently thinks a red light is the end of a trip. So when you are trying to expense a driving log, good luck trying to figure out what client you were working on because you are 3 blocks away and likely on another street by the time it begins. They say you can link the trips but seriously it would be less work to write it down at the time. Trying to recreate the driving record once a month would be impossible to do accurately. If you use the manual option, once again you might as well just write down your start and stop so what good is this app?? It does have some accounting things in it but I am not interested in any of that so this is a complete disappointment. It cannot even get my home address correct, it shows up as an ENTIRELY different street! Seriously yโ€™all need to do better than google timeline (which is more accurate and free by the way) to charge 60 a year :(.

Hi there, depending on how often you use the app, Hurdlr may take up to .5 miles to "wake up" and start recording mileage, in order to balance accuracy with battery consumption. This is not a systematic .5 mile loss and the lion's share of your mileage is recorded if your phone's settings are configured correctly. We've reached out to you via in-app chat and please feel free to message hello@hurdlr.com if you have any questions! Best, Kristen @ Hurdlr

I like the app as a whole, just a few suggestions

Iโ€™m not an independent contractor and I do not own my own business. I drive for a company with a company fleet vehicle. I am allowed to use this vehicle for personal use, but I must keep track of the personal miles and report them monthly. Which is why I have your app. I can tag drives as personal or business.

That said, there are a few improvements I wish you could make.

It would be nice if you could come out with a fleet version of your app for those of us who donโ€™t give a flip about the tax options. Weโ€™d still need the auto-tracker. Also, to have the ability to tag a drive as part business and part personal would be great too. I have a certain number of miles that count as commute miles that I have to log as personal. I donโ€™t always remember to turn the auto-tracker off then back in again to reset it to a different drive.

Also, I would love to be able to add a rule manually. Right now it only auto-suggests. There are two drives I do all the time that never come up for auto-suggest. And I canโ€™t add them. Thatโ€™s a bit on the annoying side. Other than those itโ€™s a solid app.

First I must say Kristen is the best and then I just love this program. It has unlimited mileage for free and I use the pro version because I need the invoicing and more advanced features but they are easy to use. I have 3 businesses and it is really really the best for me as all three are totally different. I have been able to drop my quickbooks online , my notary invoicing software and a third program. As a side note quickbooks online will not sync with your desktop. Now I do not have to get to the end of the year and attempt to hodgepodge my info together. Hurdlr is on my phone tablet and my desktop. YEA! I sure wish I knew about these guys before. Keep up the good work. And thanks again. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜€. Iโ€™m going to recommend this to ALL my business associates.

Well worth it

As an independent contractor (real estate), I have to manage my own expenses, mileage, taxes, etc. This app is truly an all-in-one. Iโ€™m in an industry where structure/organization is key and Iโ€™m not naturally very organized. Hurdlr helps me stay on top of these things and honestly takes things off my plate. Link your business accounts and the app will auto-populate any expenses which you can tag and categorize. Super helpful come tax time. I have the paid version which is well worth it. Iโ€™ve only needed customer support once, and response was very quick. Especially in todayโ€™s market, Iโ€™ve been super busy and some of this would have easily slipped my mind. Itโ€™s nice to have an automated system to track my work, especially mileage!

Useful, easy, good support team!

I downloaded and paid for Hurdlr to allow me to run my rental from my I phone. It was working fine until I converted my bank account to business and the bank systems did not play well with Hurdlr.

Using only the chat feature Kristen helped me figure out why the error was happening. When it turned put to be beyond their control they were able to teach me a work around. I think they even let me have access early to this new feature. I work crazy hours at many jobs and they were able to pick up on the process of solving my problem at any time over the course of a week. Kristen stayed with me and personally guided me until today when I was able to get the system working again! I really appreciated that. I never started over and explained the problem after the first contact. She just knew.

Great job Kristen. Iโ€™ll continue to subscribe and use the program.

One problem I have with it is that it always has to be on. I would prefer to be asked with a notification if I would like to turn it on. It at times feels invasive and my phone sometimes warns me. I wonder how much data this is using?
Also could you make it work with Face ID? It would only open if it saw me. The bank program does this I like it.

Unbelievable!

Just started using this this app 4 days ago. Changed all the settings after purchasing the program as recommended to track ALWAYS. My first trip registered fine. Was using my bicycle for my first day of work after driving 850 miles to get to it. At the end of the day I realized that it was recording everything! Didnโ€™t want to track my bike mileage. Thatโ€™s good I guess. Notifications showed over 170 trips. At least that worked. Also been driving over 2 hours one direction for the last two days. Over an hour the day before. Today I finally broke down to categorize these trips AND they were not there! Not sure where all those bike trips went. I cleared all my notifications this morning, including everything not related to HURDLR. Maybe thatโ€™s a bug. Not sure, but Iโ€™m done anyway. Only my first trip which was registered even though it showed up as 3 or 4 because when you stop for gas or a SHORT break it stops and starts a new trip.
This app actually made my life harder. WOW! Canceling my trial/purchase immediately!

Hi there, we have reached out to you to help clarify any confusion about mileage tracking. 2nd review

Iโ€™ve had Hurdlr for a month now and upgraded to premium. I was pretty frustrated at first especially trying to figure out the decimal for entering dollar amounts. The decimal wasnโ€™t highlighted like the numerals. It just looked like a dirt speck on my screen. Fix it so it shows better. But after having to go full time on my side hustle of graphics after losing my 16 year job when it shut down cuz of COVID-19, I had to step up my accounting and mileage big time. This is where Hurdlr made it for me. Easier to keep track off expenses and deposits because I really sucked at keeping paperwork together. The photo option for receipts and expenses sealed the deal for me. No more worries about lost receipts or who or what they are for. Itโ€™s worth the premium for what you get. The customer chat when I get stuck was awesome! 5 stars for that especially

Game Changer

This software program is amazing! I can't thank Kristen and Laurel enough for all of your help. We left QuickBooks because it was difficult to navigate. It wasnt user-friendly and way too expensive. We LOVE Hurdlr. It is very easy to use and understand. We love the layout and Design of the program. We love that you can use it on any device. Being able to use the desktop as well is wonderful. We also love that you can take a snapshot of your receipts, and this is just the beginning. This is the software program we have been searching for for a long long time. Keep up the great work. Donโ€™t wait, check Hurdlr out now. You will LOVE IT!!!!!!!! Kristina

Very Useful App w/ Great Customer Service

As a freelancer who traditionally used Google sheets to classify my expenses, I finally decided to make the leap to a more automated system and am very glad I switched over to Hurdlr. I was able to integrate all of my banks and credit cards into the app, including a credit card from a smaller institution that their excellent customer service team helped to facilitate in adding to the platform after I specifically requested it. Then it was just a matter of classifying each expenditure (rather than manually entering things into a spreadsheet) and I was able to then set up cost reports in a variety of formats in order to send to my accountant. Very glad I finally switched over as this will save me a ton of time with taxes going forward!

Itโ€™s a no for me dawg.

I downloaded this app this morning after reading about it. I set it up and I noticed it would not accept my bank. I have US Bank and I even left the app to log in separately to make sure I was entering the password correctly, I was. I tried several times and it wouldnโ€™t take it. Okay, Iโ€™ll log my expenses manually then. So I moved on to setting up automatically tracking my drives. The first trip it was perfect. Started once I started and stopped once I stopped. The next trip it didnโ€™t record at all. The third trip it recorded in pieces. It stopped after 2 minutes and 55 seconds. It restarted and stopped after a few more minutes and did that for the duration. While I was not thrilled I would have dealt with the expense portion on my own but the whole reason I tried this app is because of the automatic tracking. I will stick with Stride if Iโ€™m going to log everything myself anyways. ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿพโ€โ™€๏ธ
