  • Needs work

Man, you all are almost there. Some if not all of the drawbacks may not be your fault. If this app worked like I thought it would, it may very well change my life. I'm plagued by valuable information I've saved, but don't remember which bookmark/browser/app/notebook/device & on & on & on.

However, selecting text in iOS chrome/pocket did not present the yellow dot option from the demo. After toggling Liner on, I'm presented with this error: "Share web page or URL to Liner to start highlighting. Using only sentence or image is blocked by Apple".

If I need to open/share across several different apps, it defeats the purpose for me. 5 stars for a brilliant idea, minus 2 for poor integration execution.

You can open/share across almost every different apps. Please tap LINER button in the share menu on the 'Page share sheet' not on the 'Tooltip share sheet'.
  • Upgrade price is excessive and discount doesn’t work

The price to upgrade is way too much given the marginal value it gives to the experience. Also the current 40% discount advertised doesn’t seem to even work.

    Developer Response

Sorry for the inconvenience. 40% discount means that it's 40% cheaper than when you pay on the desktop.
  • Great app - very useful.

Liner is a simple, effective and well supported app ... allows me to quickly find important focus points/issues when sharing important information.
  • Another overpriced subscription app

This is another app taking the disturbing path down the “software as a subscription” road. If you’re Microsoft and charge a yearly subscription fee for Office I can understand that. Office is a powerful suite of business tools.

This is a digital highlight pen app. Not even on the same planet as Office yet you want to change a third of the yearly Office subscription fee?! Outrageous!!!

Stay away from this and any other app that tries to push you towards a outrageously high yearly subscription for a service that isn’t close to being worth the price.

  • Can’t login

I like liner. I’m a paying customer. What I don’t like is all the bugs. I can login fine on my iPad Pro but login doesn’t work on iPhone. App on iPad also crashes intermittently.... please fix!

Sorry for the inconvenience. We've fixed the issue. Please try again and if you still have any problems or questions, just let me know(contact@getliner.com).
  • :(

I did like the app I used it a lot for school but then it got an update and the app is so confusing. I don't even know How to highlight things anymore (the app was much better before the update)
Yeah and now you have to pay to use a color besides yellow and I need more then one color because before you could use all the colors of highlighter and now you can only use yellow and you have to pay to use the other colors in all my classes for school they make us highlight part of are online assessments with different colors and I can’t pay so I am deleting this app

Sorry for the inconvenience. You can now use two colors(yellow and mint) even if you're a Basic user.
  • unable to use

For several months now I’ve gotten an odd error message when I try to import web pages to Liner and also now just trying to open Liner.

It tells me “Liner Unavailable” under construction.

EDIT: the app started working finally, after it seemed to log me out and start fresh. One thing I dont like is the requirement of premium to have more than one color of highlighter. the other benefits to paying premium don’t seem worth a monthly subscription.

  • subscription?

The greed of people is not surprising.

$20 a year for highlights? Get real. When you gotta pay a microsoft office subscription, and countless other netflix and who knows what subscriptions -stuff you gonna use on a daily basis at least, where on earth do you think people are still supposed to pay you a annual subscription for a highlighting app? Come on, you know that greed, and all you could have done was make it a once off payment.

You could have instead bought out a second version and charge for that. But a subscription is just plain greed. I don't accept the developers response, its still plain nonsense. There is no excuse for greedy business practices. Rather charge per version, you guys are greedy. there is no response that can make up for that. Esp in todays day and age.

Besides that, they send you 500million junk emails, you guys crooked, and your business practices are desperate.

Sorry for the inconvenience. You can still use LINER for free with yellow highlighting color. If you refer 3 friends, you can get 3 months of Premium.
  • In order to use buy other service

Is not what expect it....First, Force Users to Register Before They Can access the highlight.
Second, after the registration force you to join other apps or move to premium. If you click in add folder the give you the only choice to move to premium
  • Great idea but needs some bugs fixed

This is a fantastic idea for an app. It does a great job of taking any webpage and turning it into something that can be highlighted and annotated. However, there are some bugs. You can quickly highlight any complete sentence or you can highlight individual words easily. However, if you wanted to highlight a segment of a sentence, it does not allow you to do so. Also, only one color is allowed in the free version, and I think at least two colors would be nice.
