Worst Grocery App

Awful to navigate. While other grocery apps I’ve used including Safeway, Raleys and Costco have improved and enhanced their apps. This is a build it and forget it model.

Difficult to find Digital Coupons. WiFi in stores is weak. Employees suggest spending the time to “clip” every coupon before coming to store because it’s near impossible to find the ones you want or clip one you decided you’d like once you’re there. I said to the manager, “This is the worst grocery app.” He replied, “Don’t you think I know that? I have to hear it all day long, everyday.”

Absolute Garbage

What’s the point of a Lucky’s dedicated coupon app for a grocery store THAT DOESN'T ACTUALLY TRACK COUPONS? The printed coupons have barcodes, but can’t be scanned or logged into the app in any way? So they offer digital and physical printed coupons, but the app only allows digital? So just to go shopping, not only do I need to scroll through all 300 coupons on this laggy, poorly designed app interface but I also have to carry 30 printed time sensitive coupons that I need to mentally keep track of while shopping??? Make this make sense. It’s not practical, it’s a waste of paper and my time.

Doesn’t work with coupons and savings

Out of all of the grocery store apps I have, this is the only one I have trouble with. It doesn’t work at all, all of the savings doesn’t register at check out, yes I clipped them, I have to physically show the store clerk pictures of the savings so they could manually give me the discount. All of the other apps I have are so seamless, I just clip and that’s it, but I’m out of luck with Luckys..

Works horrendously

The only reason I am using the app is because I want to take advantage of the rewards points. But if there was any better app, I would totally use it. First of all signing in is an absolute horror and the customer service part doesn’t even work. I tried to change my password, which that feature doesn’t even work. The whole thing honestly is feeling super super inconvenient and very counterproductive. I would not recommend this app if you don’t need it I hope they actually update some stuff and make the change password/forget password work. In general this whole system does not work good Luckys should do better, if they don’t, Im strongly thinking about just deleting. if they were to do some updates and make it actually work smoothly and make signing in easier then I would be very happy. Another thing I think that they would benefit from is if they did use Apple wallet I feel like that would make it even better but as long as it works smoothly that’s my main issue. I’m scared to get locked out of my own account that I just made. Till then this in infuriates me…

App is Useless

It appears to be a front for Instacart — but Lucky sales prices are not necessarily what you pay on Instacart. Eventually I figured out how to make a shopping list, but wait! You can’t specify the number of items to buy. We have three adults contributing to the shopping list so are we expected to use telepathy? Well Lucky’s, back to shopping at Raleys, even though we will have to drive a bit to get there. Sheesh

Scam pricing

The whole app is a ploy to defraud users. They advertise coupons in ad. You clip the coupons. The coupons never make it to you “clipped coupon” folder. They’re just added to a list. You have to go into the coupons section, dig through hundreds of bad deals to find the one you wanted, clip it there, then go to rewards - clipped items to make sure because they still don’t show up half the time. Then when you go to the store, you have to be super vigilant because the checkers know this to be the case and are abused about it all day and just want to get you out as soon as possible before you complain that the app coupons don’t work. The whole thing is a scam and generally a waste of time. But lucky is so expensive it’s only worth going for their top coupons anyway.

Password should be 6-12 characters but 9 is too long

Unable to sign up. It won’t accept the password generated by the generator because it has lame restrictions. So I typed in a password that is only 9 characters with one of each required type. I tried changing the length within the limits but keeps saying it is too long. For now I’ll shop on other apps.

Store and app don’t match

Digital coupons and old system of no coupons is very confusing
Advertised price in store not available digitally
Checker can’t do anything about it
Terrible transition from old to new way of doing things
Bring back low prices and simpler way of doing things or make improvements/consistent coupon system in app with store

What digital coupons ? Where?

I’m not seeing any digital coupons. There is a header that says digital coupons with a little link. When I press the button all I get is spinning circles.
Please don’t tell me you are expecting me to scan QR codes in the store to get digital coupons! Those aisles are crowded enough. I can’t imagine people coming around me with their carts mom while I’m trying to focus on the darn thing. Most stores don’t have signals anyway. The buildings blocked them.
To summarize-
1.) Where in the app are the digital coupons?
2.) There’s no way I can scan these things while in the store. What are you thinking?

The app conveniently doesn’t work when there’s free items

Every time there’s a special coupon and freebies the app won’t load or kick you out I won’t let you sign back in. It’s the same for Lucky and FoodMaxx. It’s not right because you get to the grocery store and they won’t honor it. Then as I’m trying to write a review is asking for a nickname and everything I choose even made up stuff is taken so I can’t move forward with this bad rating.
