  • New App is awful

    I do not know why they changed this! It keeps locking up my phone. I remove and reinstall and keeps happening. It is more cumbersome and harder to get the information I need. In the past, I depended on this app for quick answers. It is mostly not used since it is such a hassle. Went from being one of my best apps to the worst. Where is cash? This was a great tool to verify deposits. That’s gone! The date field st the top is so wide it’s a hassle to get to the correct report buried far to the right.
    You screwed up what was once a great tool.

  • Most recent update bricked the app

    The app was working fine less than 24 hours ago, but the new update base it completely unusable. It opens then is just stuck on the main page after login, and can’t click on anything.

    If square is going to have as many apps that do the same thing as square does, at least make them all usable. Appointments seems to be the only app that functions as it should. I would prefer to have Dashboard for all my settings and messages and checkouts, but why can’t they seem to get this one thing right

  • New version vastly less functional

    The latest update makes determining tips for different time frames, locations and days awkward and clunky when it used to be easier (though there were still LOTS of potential for improvement). The comparisons to 52 weeks ago no longer show the whole day for the 52 weeks ago so you can’t predict how the current day will go side by side. I started using this app when it first came out and for the last few years it has only degraded instead of getting better with each improvement. When I first started using Square, the programmers were very responsive to feedback but now they don’t even seem to understand how their app is used by their customers.

  • App no longer works

    After 7 years of using this app every day, the dashboard app has stopped functioning. This app was critical to my understanding of my business for daily sales, trends, and specific item sales. This year a series of updates took away the major functionality of the app. We lost the trend graphs and comparative sales. Then we lost the item and category details. For the past two months, whenever I open the app it says “Unable to load results. Please wait 30 seconds and try again.” I’ve been waiting but it doesn’t looks like a fix is coming.

  • New updates are not so great.

    I use this app dozens of times throughout the day. Mostly the categories section. I loved seeing the breakdown of each category. Now they’ve changed it to where you only see the category and it doesn’t get broken out like before. The items section is the same with the update. Now I have to go on my computer to see check the data and it’s a major hassle. I feel blind with these features taken away from the palm of my hand.

  • I already submitted feedback and got reply thank you

    But not clear on what if anything will change. Overall I am less concerned with the update and mostly concerned on why I can click on the sales and get the breakdown of sales net gross, discounts, payment breakdown, refunds etc. I now need my computer to complete my weekly reports vs. my phone. I just don’t understand why a new version would include less functionality. Or am I missing it? Is it there and I just can’t find it?

    We very much appreciate your feedback and apologize for any confusion during this update. We understand accessing key sales information is critical to run your business. In this new update, you can now view your Sales Breakdown (Sales, Refunds, Discounts, Taxes, etc) under "Details" towards the bottom of the Metrics section and above "Items." We hope this helps!
  • Please go back to older version!

    This updated version is terrible! Took away the option to compare to 52 weeks ago to see a true comparison! Hourly graph is awful and basically useless. The previous version was perfect as it was.

    *since this review they reverted back to the original version which was great! But wait! They just updated it again and yet again it’s a fail! Can no longer see sales comparisons by dollar amount (only in %). I do not understand updating something that is perfect as it was! Just keep the original version!!

    Thank you for your feedback. We are back with an update. You can get to the charts by tapping on the Key Metrics data from the Home page. We understand that it is not visually intuitive to view the charts and will improve the visual experience in our future releases.   • Square and reporting

    Love Square but the latest Category report upgrade more or less eliminated an essential report previously available at a glance. Now the category sales report is another itemized item sales report.
  • Current version has a BUG!!

    Square recently an open check filter to their reports allowi g users to toggle between viewing sales data for just closed transactions or also including saved tickets that have not yet been laid for. This feature works fine in the web based dashboard but the developers failed to update the iOS version. Since that feature was recently released the ios dashboard ALWAYS includes sales totals for BOTH open and closed tickets. This means if a ticket gets created and saved but NOT PAID it is still reflected in the sales total for that day even if you havent collected.

  • Just stopped working

    Been using this for years. I logged out by accident and haven’t been able to log back in. I can only now see sales on my laptop. Tried everything to get the app to log me in but it won’t. Currently trying to switch to a new system because I need to see my business on the go easily.
