YOU WILL BE GIVEN THE WRONG GATE

Told me to board at gate 1A, turns out our flight was at GATE 9!!! Came very close to missing our flight. At the very least, double check with airport staff or flight information at the airport. I have never had an airline app mess up that bad. Catastrophic and unacceptable.

Mrs Theresa McGuinness

What’s going on?I can’t book any flights?I put in destination dates, choose my flights, then it goes to the “switch to plus fares “ and can’t go any further?I have never had this problem before?please advise or give a contact number to call ? Very dissatisfied!

Better off without it

The app has no useful information and doesn’t update with gate info boarding or anything. Just look at the screens at the airport.

App + site = horrendous

Seriously just awful. I’ve entered information in twice just for it to spin and then tell me there’s an error. It’s constant and I have no idea how they get away with it. Fix it!

Useless app

No option to add TSA number.

Terrible App

App and website are terrible and hardly function daily!

Doesn’t load flight info

It takes a long time to start up. Once open. Clicking in to see flight details results in the round loading icon for awhile then it quits back to the app Home Screen. The internet works fine for everything else in the phone

Log in issues

Fix your login issues please, website, mobile website not even your app works. Constant “can’t process your request” message and I can’t even receive an email to change my password.

Zero

This is the WORST airline n travel app I have ever used. Customer support is just as bad- they act surprised when you say you are having issues. They would be out of business if their tech folks ran the airline.

Mandatory 2FA

Just to create an account and look around you must enable 2FA. Annoying. From what I saw of the app it seemed clunky and slow redirects

Not reliable!

Couldn’t open 90% of times. So had to use internet browser to check in. Shame…

Horrible

Only thing worse than the app is the check in at Dublin airport. Hope the planes fly because their technology lacks!

Upgrade has backfired

Not able any more to check upcoming trips or check in now since the recent upgrade

Horrible

Seriously a terrible app. Couldn’t look at any of my flight info or download my tickets.

Doesn’t work well in USA

Maybe this app works in Ireland, but it doesn’t work very well in the United States. Links to boarding passes don’t work; links to add passenger information don’t work; links to order special are not present and incidentally don’t work in emails either. Hope the actual flying experience will be less frustrating.

Terrible App

I honestly cannot believe how dysfunctional both the Aer Lingus app and website are. I tried accessing my booking multiple times across different browsers and the mobile app, and every single attempt resulted in the same useless error: “Opps! Wrong method was used to view this page.” That’s not just unhelpful, it’s completely meaningless to a customer trying to manage a flight. This isn’t a one off glitch. It’s a systemic failure across platforms. When your app and website both break in exactly the same way, it’s not user error, it’s poor design and even worse testing.

For an airline of this size, it’s frankly unacceptable that customers can’t reliably view their own bookings. This is basic functionality. Instead, I’m left locked out with zero guidance on how to fix it.
If you’re going to push customers toward digital self-service, the least you can do is make sure it actually works.

Extremely frustrating, a complete waste of time, and not what you expect when you’ve already paid for a flight.

App is ok, slow on first open

The app seems to take ages when first opening it after a while of inactivity. Other airlines I’ve used their apps open pretty quickly in comparison. Certain actions redirect me to the website and then show me the exact same thing as what I’ve seen in the app, when trying to book a lounge pass.

Worst airline app

Flight statuses do not update, check in process frequently results in errors, painfully slow

Insanely annoying

Downloaded the app and absolutely COULD NOT create a password. Even when selecting the auto-generated PW, got message “passwords don’t match. Pretty useless if you can’t create a password.

Unable to login with passkey

Have tried re-installing. Cannot login to the website either. Recover password option fails to send email.
