DON’T BOOK WITH AGODA !!!
I’m traveling through China and there are not many websites for westerners when you have to book an hotel, so when I find a lovely looking room on Agoda, cheaper then any other Hotel in the area, I was very excited. Here is the problem, the place is an homestay, which would be fine as I stay at place like this before. The problem there is no repetition, simply the landlord will send you the number of the floor and the room, place the code to get in the building. When on the day I still hadn’t received any information, I got worried and tried to contact the landlord, when that was impossible, I tried to contact Agoda support, they took about 1 hour to reply and basically keep sending the same message of then trying to contact the landlord, for then stop responding at all, all while it was well pass the check-in time and I was waiting on the side of the road. Now I’m still waiting for my refund for a place that I’m not even sure exists.

Add Self-Service Options to Update Phone Number and Email
I suggest adding a self-service option for users to update their linked phone numbers and email addresses.
Phone numbers and email addresses can become unavailable due to changing countries, switching carriers, losing prepaid numbers, or no longer using an old email account. Currently, users have to contact customer support for manual changes, which can be inconvenient.
Allowing users to securely update their account information after verification would improve user experience and reduce customer support workload.
