I think overall app is fine. There needs to be improvements in the savings account screens. Most banks provide realtime data to where balances are for each deposit or withdrawal, this app fails to do that.
The bonus screens for the card are clunky and disjointed. There are either too many, or it isn’t organized correctly

App feels nice and is easy to use
Previously complained about banner ads, but I don’t see them anymore so going back to 5 stars assuming Amex realized it was a mistake and rolled back.
The app is overall high quality and trustworthy feeling. Easy to get to my banking info as I need to and do mobile check deposit, check CC charges, etc
Being able to search transactions would be really cool.

Not what it used to be…
Used to love my AMEX cards, but they have really gone downhill lately!
Always pay my balance off and and never had issues before so I have no idea why they keep lowering spending limits on these cards?
Originally I got Amex for business purposes since I take a lot of clients out for dinners, etc.
Lately Amex has been lowering account limit limits to ridiculous levels! It’s at a point where these cards are more likely to embarrass you with a the waiter coming back with a declined card than being reliable.
These days I use my Chase Sapphire, it’s been completely reliable over the last year and I don’t have to worry about being embarrassed if it gets declined.

Responsible Use Not Rewarded
Unfortunately, you are not rewarded with responsible use because their algorithm is based on current market conditions and if you have a larger limit, but don’t utilize a lot of that limit, they will reduce you to an unusable limit that makes the card worthless.

Don’t waste your money
AMEX won’t help you if you get scammed and will walk you through a big process on their chat with lots of questions and details, only to email you the next day that your claim has been closed. Plus their interest rates are stupid high, despite a stellar credit score. There are better companies. Don’t waste your money. 19 years with a company apparently means nothing, and they’ll side with a slimy salesperson when you have problems.

Not sure why Annual Fees are being increased and then we’re being shown advertisements in our banking app.

AMEX continually provides great service to its members. I got my first card in 1969 and have awesome service and support from AMEX and its people for the past 55+ years.
