Watch App seems broken

The mobile app improved over time but the watch app unfortunately got worse in the past few months. The watch app currently only show the first 3 breathing patterns. One can only chose up to 20 mins (no big deal), and the haptics used to be better in the past.

Amazing app

This is an amazing app that my super cool dad made🌺🌷💕

Still holding my breath here…

Thank you for your contribution to the sea of free breathing apps, this one used to be my favourite! Sadly, after a few recent updates it’s become a less appealing choice for me. I miss the simple design and usability of previous versions. For example, while doing the breathing exercises I want all my focus to be solely on the moving ‘Petal’ shape (that’s now gone). For some bizarre reason I am now distracted by the luminous, ever-present glow of the native iPhone home bar which is now always visible at the bottom of every screen within this app - this glitch is unique to Breathing Zone, unlike any other app I use. Equally, I wouldn’t mind if the progress bar was more discreetly placed (lower down on the screen, as it was in previous versions). My last little annoyance is that I’ve lost the ability to simply swipe between each screen with the quick flick of a finger gesture. Instead, you’ve made the whole UI a more clumsy experience to navigate. This reduced functionality seems bewildering backwards to me. It’s great that you care enough to keep this app going, but lately there have been a few too many changes, rather than improvements.

Best App Around

I wish you I customise the “Breathing Guide” so it can feel deeply inspiring instead of static assets or maybe a premium version?

Best coherent breathing app

This is one of the best clean coherent breathing app. Very easy to use. No ads or paywall or subscription. Thanks to the developer for keeping it free.

Great app for breathwork!

I really appreciate the simplicity of this app and the variety of breath patterns, pacing, and timing available. I especially appreciate the watch app as it allows me to do lengthier sessions vs the native Apple Mindfulness app. My only complaint is that the watch logs breathwork sessions on the watch as exercise, otherwise it is great!

You took away resonance breathing

So I will look for a new app. Please reinstate.

Problem on older iPad now

Thank you so much for this app which I have used countless times. For me it is perfect in every way and I just thank you so very much. however, that no longer plays/streams smoothly on my older iPad, although all other apps stream fine on it. The audio frequently “hiccups”. I wish you would fix that.

GET IT!

I specifically love this app for its simplicity, yet most effective in every way possible. I have finally found an app that keeps up with my breathing instead of me, customizing my breath to the program. Thank you so very much.!

Even in free mode it’s excellent

Well done to the devs!
I stopped wearing my Apple Watch. I missed the “Breathe” app. I like haptic feedback and a simple interface. “Flower” in green is my favorite Breathing Guide.

Feature request: add more options to haptics. I would like fast while inhaling, slow while exhaling. Then my rating will be 11/10 🎸

Disappointing downgrade

The watch app used to have voice prompts and the ability to use all the breathing routines available on the iPhone. All that’s been taken away, with no explanation or warning. Very frustrating.

Was working great till today - updated

latest update works amazingly

Love the new update!

Thank you so much for providing this for free. I’m eternally grateful 💕

Best breathing App

Thank you!

Now useless on Watch

Used it for years. Deleted. Latest update removes all haptic on Watch and continues the insane inability to stop it midstream. No matter how many times you Stop and restore your Watch home screen it keeps grabbing the screen back !! It just won't go away!

The best breathing app

This is a fantastic app which I have recommended to hundreds of clients (I’m a breathwork practitioner). It is simple, flexible and so easy to use. And free! My clients love breathing with the waves (flowing water). I use it to teach coherent breathing, but set it to equal breath (not coherent breathing) because the bpm can be adjusted - 5.5bpm is too slow for some people. Clients living with anxiety might start at 7bpm and work their way down to 5.5bpm.
Can’t praise the app enough. It stopped working on android phones for a while but it looks as though it may now be available again. Thank you.

Better breathing

Appreciate the bug fixes and simplified menu design, this makes the app feel a smoother, more calming experience. If you wish to improve this further, please find a way to make the native ‘home button/bar’ disappear as it’s now always visible and somewhat distracting. Similarly, if you could make the progress bar a bit more discrete (drop it lower down the screen, use a subtle, slightly thinner or dimmer style line?) as this would bring more focus to the shape and the whole practice of being in the moment! New Haptics feature is an interesting concept, nice to have as an option and could be a genuinely useful alternative to audio/visual prompts entirely (provided it still functioned in the lock screen). I have to say I miss the traditional ‘Petal’ shape, it was my favourite go-to design. Please also consider reinstating the ‘swipe to move’ gesture to navigate between screens, it would be a relatively simple but genuinely helpful (accessibility friendly) improvement for quickly navigating through Breathing Zone’s UI. Thanks for your continued development!

Amazing

Finally an app that lets you breathe and is not invasive and asking you to subscribe or trying to reinvent the wheel. Thanks you!

Better before…

Sadly not won-over by the latest update. I wish I had stayed on version 5.8 as everything was functioning much smoother. It’s always nice to have a choice of new colours to match the breathing session to any particular energy or mood, but not at the expense of the app crashing every time I switch! The ability to simply swipe between settings screens has also been sacrificed, which is a major drawback for me as it was always so intuitive to use and now just feels more fiddly. The previous version was visually more minimalist and allowed me to focus my whole attention on the calming breathing exercise without distraction, I feel this latest version is a bit less polished, for example; the moving shape is no longer central (vertically) and a weird gap exists under the breath count bar (now a busier, fragmented design). The settings menu now feels overly busy compared to previous versions, it’s not quite as easy for me to read all of the settings options against the new colour-matched backgrounds and while I did successfully locate the ‘Feedback’ button I’ve not received any response to my feedback so I think it might get better noticed by way of review. Sorry if no longer 5 stars, I hope that with a few small tweaks I can once more enjoy and recommend "The Best" free breathing app ?

Love the simplicity of this app.

It hasn’t been over complicated at all, just exactly what you need! As a Somatic Breathwork Practitioner this is exactly the kind of app I will recommend to people. Well done guys.
