Terrible ap avoid!
Such an awful ap, if you want to access your money pot you have to go through a lengthy ID process including passport for example, address and then selfie tool which absolutely does not work! Very invasive ID procedure and totally unnecessary.

Collectiv is a super easy way to collect payments from groups. Collect payments via card/Apple pay/Android pay without needing to exchange bank details. Avoid collecting cash. Avoid lots of payments into your personal bank account. Send a link or use QR code to allow cashless payments.
Set up multiple pots for different purposes. Easy to export a spreadsheet of all payments for accounting etc. A great app/tool. Highly recommended.

Great app for money pots
I’ve recently used the app for a money pot for a farewell gift to a work colleague. It’s easy to use and money withdrawal is also hassle free.

Read the small print
They do take 12% of you money as ‘support Collctiv’ which is mean unless you opt out. Then they take a ‘tip’ at the end they do not make it clear and a take money by stealth which I think it mean!!

In our teacher present collection, every single parent paid something like £2.50 fees to Collctiv, when I tried to get the money I could not get all at once and was charged twice for transfer fees. Plus I had to wait 2 days to receive the money.

No nonsense fundraiser
We had a community whip around for a neighbour who reached a milestone birthday. We wanted to mark the occasion with communal gift. Collctiv gave us the platform to do just that. It is easy to manage, the majority of us are of pensionable age and Collctiv is a no nonsense fundraiser, transparent, even non IT-savvy people can set it up and we were able to celebrate the birthday in style. Mission accomplished!

Over-complicated!
Seemed like a very complex way to retrieve a small amount of money - needed passport photo, bank statement, the whole lot. Not clear why all this was really necessary. Money is also not sent swiftly unless receiver pays for the privilege.
