Waited for appointment
I waited for nearly two hours and nobody showed up for the appointment. I ended up having to pay 70 dollars out of pocket at an urgent care to be seen. Highly disappointed.

Wait time over 2 hours Ridiculous!
Spent 2 hours and 10 minutes waiting for a simple medication refill for acid reflux only to be given a 14 day supply. Next time I’ll just go to a local clinic nearby that won’t charge me 100$ for a simple refill.

App crashes during visits, messaging system is broken, ai assistant makes you repeat things over and over, service is average for telehealth
Wasn’t like this before.
Me and my family have been long-term users of the Dr On Demand app through our insurance Blue Cross Blue Shield. It used to be a very easy process to get on the app, find a doctor, immediately have the appointment with the doctor, and go about our day. Every time I’ve used it since the change and remaking of the app it has been a very very hard struggle. The app has a ton of glitches, it shuts down randomly, it takes forever to load. I updated my app today. It didn’t matter. I still took hours to get in to see somebody because the first appointment actually shut down and I was never able to see anybody so I had to get a second appointment. It used to take about 10 to 20 minutes and now it takes about an hour to see anyone. The providers are so great but the app in the whole system is terrible compared to what it used to be.

App does not work
I had an appointment today at 9:00. I was sent a link via text, but the link did not work. I tapped the link at 8:55. No instructions for joining, just details about the visit. I waited for 10 minutes and it seems the app marked me absent. This seems like a fraudulent tactic, you don’t make it and they charge you 30 dollars. Find a different app.

Help when it was needed
Dr on Demand saved my vacation. I was out of town and began experiencing symptoms of a UTI. Dr leach was able to ask the right questions, diagnose my issue and prescribe medicines. I didn’t have to sit in a clinic for half of one of my beach days.

Doctor Caty provided excellent service. I felt very heard and listened to. My mom isn’t doing very well healthwise so I wasn’t very present and she took the extra step of even googling if the pharmacy she was sending my medicine to was 24 hours. Great doctor.
Will submit wrong codes to insurance and then stop responding
I used this app once for an annual appointment. It was free with my insurance (even said so in the app and my insurance even said it should have been free). Then got a bill 5 months later saying i owe $129 for the visit. Supposedly they’re looking into it but they previously submitted the wrong codes for my blood work. Said they would get back to me in 30-45 business days. It has now been over 55 business days and they won’t respond. Customer service is terrible.

Buggy nightmare app with fake reviews
Trying to schedule urgent Virtual care and this buggy app is not loading. I had another one star review, but apparently it was deleted. The only way this app is rated so highly is they delete and filter out a lot of the unpleasant reviews.
Also scheduling urgent care visits for the next available appointment, it will say a 15 minute estimate. I waited for over an hour and did not get moved in queue. I’ve never had this issue with Teladoc so I’ll be moving my services there as this platform is unreliable, especially if you have anything urgent you need assist with.

Highly recommend for those with a good understanding of medical needs. Children , special needs and elderly should still be seen in person.
