v1.2.2: Voice check-in that understands more, but's is still in beta phase. New in this build: A hint after a misunderstood voice check-in used to hold back the rating question until you tapped it away; it now goes on its own. When you speak a sentence where the habit and its rating are torn apart — "Running was today, well, pretty okay" — nothing used to come through. Now it does. I also match against everything currently on screen, not just the names of your habits. The speak button now sits at the bottom, where your thumb already is, and starts recording right away. One step less. Fixed: English users were shown German system dialogs. And the permission texts did not describe what the app actually does. Both are corrected, and a check in the build keeps it from coming back. About privacy, because I don't want this buried in the fine print: the app now counts a few things. How many devices finish a setup step, how the intensities from 0 to 5 are distributed, which route a check-in comes from. Only the name of the event is sent. No device identifier, no ID, no session, nothing from your habits. The server increments a number and forgets the rest; it cannot tell two reports from the same device apart. It runs on my own machine, no third party involved. I do this because otherwise I am guessing why someone puts the app down after two days. Also: check-ins from the home screen count again When you tick off a habit straight from the widget, that is a check-in like any other. For one part of the app it wasn't — it simply never arrived there. Fixed. And the App Store rating question now comes earlier. It used to sit so far back that almost nobody ever saw it. What changes about paying, and why I'm spelling it out After onboarding you get 14 days of everything, with no payment details and no automatic charge. After that, adding entries and making changes needs a subscription or Lifetime. What stays: your data. All of it. You can still see it, still read your reports, export it, and delete it whenever you want. Nothing gets locked away and nothing disappears. What stops: new check-ins, new goals and habits, editing, import, archiving. The same everywhere, so that includes the Watch, the widgets, Siri and the automatic entries from Apple Health. There used to be a permanently free tier with one goal and three habits. I removed it. It was half a promise: enough to make you put the app down, too little to work with. I would rather say plainly what the app costs than keep you in a version that doesn't help you. When your trial ends you'll find a calm note at the top of your dashboard with your options. It doesn't jump at you and it doesn't interrupt you mid-entry.
