After the latest upgrade, used gift cards popped up again and cannot be archived!
First they didn’t tell us the name of the app changed after an update. Now used up gift cards reappearing in the main list and cannot be archived 😳😳
Good App
Good app and easy to navigate. However to do a quick purchase on your weekly shopping and top up card is very difficult and just annoying. Old app was better and so easy to navigate.

Since smart spending has become engage the app doesn’t work as good as before
Most of the time me and my husband who’s got a google pixel cannot use it as it does not take the payment. Since the app has been changed into engage we are having lots of problems using it.
Unwelcome UI changes
Viewed others feedback ..guess he spent enough to provide your unwelcome UI changes. I am using up my voucher and then doing w/o anymore from engage

So easy to use and love all the offers and discounts. I just saved £100 off car hire for my holiday and also got 20% off a new blender.
Wallet issue
Wallet doesn’t show vouchers properly since latest update, it’s showing top-up history in messy way. I need to use web portal to top up at the moment
Archiving
In the past the old gift cards could be archived, and only current cards are visible in the wallet.
Since the last update, this is no longer an option.
This way it is very easy to mix up current with empty cards, and the risk of loosing money is very high if you have multiple cards.
Bad update, please make the archive option available again.

Archive stopped working after upgrade
It had been great. But after upgrading to version 3.1.15, the Archive folder is showing all history vouchers, and I can’t tell which ones actually have money left

Awful view of vouchers in the app, they are all visible in the same view and we cannot hide the ones already used, terrible, I ended up with duplications
All is good until latest version on July 2026
Wallet is most important feature and the company decide to mess it up. Now no archive function and it is showing a long history items which are already expired. I contacted support and got a confirmation that it is nit a bug but a feature! Please use your product as a customer and you will see how bad it is. A workaround for me is web version is not too bad (still i hope) so i basically just use it and uninstalled mobile app.

Terribly slow
10 x worse than the old one it replaced. It is slow to load your wallet etc. making repeat purchases is a navigation disaster. I have to go to my old orders and select to top up again. Never had to do it this slow and painful way before. Stopped using it as much now.
Terrible since the “upgrade”
Since upgrading the app there is no way to archive used vouchers, and newer vouchers are duplicated so you can’t get to older ones
info bomb interface, loading always
it keeps getting worse. all we wanted was just search for a discount and view the giftcard. now it’s hard to see where the wallet and now the archive (used) giftcard, they scramble it that they dont want you to see the unused card anymore.
checking balance is another worse thing. you have to save your wollies balance in text file to keep track in it.

Worse than the original app
The new app under engage brand name was very poor as compared with the original smart spending app. I had experience in checking out, finding the right voucher (I bought £30 pounds in one go but it got split into 10 & 20 as 2 vouchers and you could not find these vouchers at the top of the wallet at all!), not allowing me to archive the vouchers I have already used, not even allow me to change the nickname of the vouchers!
