Enough of the cookie question!!!!
This was a nice app. But starting a week or so ago, it asks for my cookie preferences almost every time I open the app either on the phone or the iPad. Since I don’t think it asked that ever before, I assumed that it was a new requirement. But it JUST. WON’T. STOP.

I got a response from the developer that the cookie nag has been fixed. So far, it hasn’t reappeared, so I’m revising my rating. Thanks for fixing that, Enphase!

App won’t load
Within the last month, I’ve had issues opening the app. It will open as it is going to load then the screen goes black. I am frequently having to delete the app and redownload. The app used to open with ease; not anymore.
Suddenly a major bug…

Personal data mining and targeting advertisements for paying customers
I only need an app to check the status of my solar array. It’s absurd to have to constantly dismiss notifications to sell my personal data and advertise just to get simple, basic information that is freely available with the API.
Before you give me a canned response, consider that your support already reached out with an AI response about checking the app “Enlighten or Enphase” (like you don’t know), and setting this option “if available”. It’s a notification pop-up in the app itself that you can’t prevent with settings. Remove it or lose customers.
Update: If feedback like mine helps so much, why don’t you actually fix the problem and remove the obtrusive ads that take up 1/3 of the screen??? Greed and stupidity.

You broke the app
What is up with the constant asking about the cookies. I’ve clicked it so many times. I’m deleting the app because it’s worthless now. Get your tech in order.
Good solar info. App is starting to get annoying
As a solar monitor app, it’s great. The detail you see from your solar installation can’t be beat - you know exactly how your system is performing and where your energy is coming from. Removed one star because the app is starting to get annoying. It asks me my cookie preferences multiple times - why are web cookies even being used? It’s supposed to be a dashboard app. And then there are multiple notifications and offers to buy extra equipment. The app may be free but I bought and paid for the solar system that is providing and transmitting the data. This app is part of what I paid for. I shouldn’t get product ads if I don’t want them.

Stop asking me to rate the app while I am using it.
App repeatedly annoys me by asking me to rate it while I am trying to use it so one star. Wait until I exit to ask.
Save cookies popup each time you open the app
Now you have to reject marketing cookies each time the app opens. Your selection never saves so they collect data each time you open the app it's so annoying

App works well, until it doesn’t
When I had a cell plan on my PV system this app worked great. Now that I no longer have a cell plan I cannot track my production and usage numbers. Why? Because this stupid app won’t accept my home wifi password because it has special characters in it. In a digital world where passwords have to be 38 characters long and completely un-memorable, this app can’t accept special characters? Give me a break. And no, I’m not changing my home WiFi password when I have dozens of devices connected to it that would require more time to update than it’s worth being able to connect to my PV app.

Cookies and adds
Recent up date to the app has been a down grade. Now you have to select cookie preferences in the app and clear the same ad every time you open the app. Also the AI agent is useless for contacting real support.
Full of ads
Painful to use app because you need to clear out all their own ads.
Forcing AI on You
App is pretty functional other than their need to shove an AI assistant down your throat, causes long app start up times, when you’re connecting to your emphases system on a local net not connected to the internet, the AI assistant causes a lot of hassle.
Please add an option allow the removal of all AI assistant, and stop forcing this junk on us. Not even considering you’re handing data to a third party who is just reselling it, and training models.

False data, horrible support
Enphase lies about the solar data. For months, energy was being exported from my backup batteries to the grid, even though I had that setting turned off in my app (obviously I want the energy to power my house, not farm it out to the electric company).
I took screenshots, documented dates and times, and kept trying to get Enphase to help resolve the issue. They denied that it was happening, accused me of “messing something up in the settings,” and sometimes ignored support tickets completely. I’m talking no response at all.
Finally, out of desperation I contacted the company that installed my solar. They contacted Enphase and sure enough confirmed that Enphase had “accidentally” set an override that was exporting my energy to the grid, despite my settings in the app not to do that.
So I have lost months of stored energy, forcing me to pay more for electricity because the energy stored in batteries was drained. And Enphase still hasn’t acknowledged what they did.
They also have other bugs in the app. For example, they’ve started adding a cookies popup every time I open the app. I reject non-essential cookies, but it asks me again the next time I open the app. They’re obviously trying to force me to just accept their cookies out of frustration. Why is a solar company running cookies on my energy usage anyway? Farming my home usage out to third-parties?
And lastly, apparently they sell accessories on Amazon. Occasionally they have popups letting me know I can buy their products on Amazon. So Enphase is hawking cheap ads inside the app of a $60,000 solar unit.
Total garbage. I’ve paid for my system outright, so I’m stuck with this lousy company who lies about my energy data, tracks my usage in the app, and forces me to see their ads.

Do not get Enphase
I can’t begin to tell you how bad their tech is. How bad their app is and how much I regret choosing Enphase over Tesla. And to top it off I have to deal with them sending ads to my home enlighten app when all I want to do is review my solar. Hate Enphase
Bad WiFi settings
This app doesnt allow for WiFi passwords that have symbols or more than 16 characters. I’m not about to jack up my entire network just to get my solar data. FIX IT!
