Great system

Iv had the system for two years , well worth it . Even tech support is amazing . Also the field service engineer also great. System has a small error the came out and fixed it . Over highly satisfied.

Incorrect and incomplete

I’ve used this for over 6 months now and this app needs a lot of work. First it does not report on one of my 2 main panels. It can only monitor one. So it took months of diagnosing this with my electric company on why their usage number weren’t even close to Enlighten’s to the point of having to pay for a tech to come out and measure the meter only to find out it’s not the meter, it’s Enphase.
Then at times it cannot access the Gateway. Recycling breakers etc does nothing. Usually within 24 hrs it comes back. Last but now the biggest issue is the Status screen shows I’m profile Self-Consumption, the batteries are 95% charged, then go to Live Status and now the Profile shows as Savings and it’s importing from the grid! Then click on Profile (which shows as Savings) and then the choice screen shows that it’s set to Self-Consumption! No not happy and definitely wrong to the point where I’m paying for electricity when I having plenty of battery power to use but can’t get to it.

Service

I have called Ion Solar several times and have been placed on hold and call back list and I haven’t received any response. I have been placed on hold and never get an associate to speak with. My panels have been reading low for months and my bill is very high.

Unhappy

Most often can not attain current view. It does not connect to Server

Need a update

I added a secondary thermostat and now the app is having difficulty updating the system, controlling both of the thermostats and making any schedule changes.

Happy

Everything works great & my utility bill keeps going down!

Now with AI that isn't accurate

Enphase has recently added an AI that blatantly gets information incorrect, and when it admits it was wrong, makes the exact same mistake the next day.

It says it cannot make images immediately after showing you images. It says it can't see system details right after showing you details.

It's a very poor implementation of AI. It should be removed unless, and until, it's actually about to do what it says.

4.7.0 update crashed the App

Updated to 4.7.0. App no longer works. Uninstalled app. Reinstalled app. Doesn’t work. Circle spins forever as if loading.

Why won’t it accept special characters?

The app won’t accept special characters in the WiFi password. I have to change my password, which means I have to reconnect every device I have already connected prior to this. Extremely frustrating. This is the only app that I have worked with that has this restriction.

Glitch in opening app

Even after deleting and reinstalling the app, I continue to have issues opening it. The screen will be black. I cannot use this app the way it was intended if I have to delete and reinstall it daily. I really think this has to do with the latest iOS update.

Super slow opening

Latest update returned the app to taking 60 or more seconds to load the screen. It sits forever. You really need to optimize the app launch times. It faster for me to use browser than the app.

Terrible customer support when issues arrise.

Terrible customer support

Cannot turn off Assistant

They add annoying app features even without an update. Added a yellow Assistant you can't remove and icons are smaller, the bottom menu is smaller.

App glitch

I have had no issue with the apps function until the latest iOS updates and now the app when opened just shows a black screen. I even go through the App Store to try and open it from there and it’s still a black screen.

Not good

We have had our solar system for quite a few years now and we still have an outrageous electric bill and we’ve had them come out and look at it and now we’re having to have more solar panels put on costing us more money!

Ugh!!

App needs a refresh and an update

The app does not work well. Graph does not seem to update and often lags behind up to three hours and sometime days. Even after update (4.6.1), it still hangs up and does not always refresh to the right time. Usually several hrs behind.

Enphase app doesn’t match with power company meter.

I have issues. My app reports that my system is producing way more energy than what the power company meter says.

Was great until it wasn’t

Worked perfectly for 4 years. Until one day it no longer did. No warning, no update notification, no software requirement. Just stopped even in browser. I suggested Enphase notify you of updates and list software requirements. Not just saying it works with this device and doesn’t isn’t helpful. DEVELOPERS: You need to UPDATE the app and add the software version needed. It says it works with my devices. Is does not.

Inaccurate Earnings!!

I like this app and refer to it almost every day. I would give it five stars if one of the most important features were accurate: Net Earnings. We ended last year with around $295 “Net Earnings” according to the app. Since net is total earnings AFTER deductions, we thought we had a $295 credit. Wrong!!! We had to pay $350!!
Net Earnigs is actually gross earnings. So now I have turned off the “discharge battery to the grid” setting. I may get an $8 credit for the few hours until it drains, but I have no idea how much MORE I’m paying for the hours I then have to buy power during peak hours because my battery has no juice.
I know power rates vary, but it seems like the estimate shouldn’t be $650 off.

Storm Guard

Enphase keeps putting me on the grid despite my settings because a storm is coming through my area despite my battery’s being charged at 100%. This is also, despite my solar being turned off for an entire month because local electrician turned it off prior to us arriving in our newly purchased home. The purchase is home because of the system would not have to pay for electricity as the power has the ability to create enough power to run the household.
