Payment is broken

These are essential features for an energy provider app: being able to check your bill, submit meter readings, and make payments reliably.

Unfortunately, it’s currently not possible to make a payment through the mobile app. I hope this can be fixed soon, as payment is one of the most important basic functions users expect from the app.

Usage update

Hi the app seems always slow to update it also doesn’t update when I’m connected to my WiFi it doesn’t help either when the in home display can only show one tariff making usage not easy to calculate if the app was better there would be no need for ihd surely you have the technology to get one working

They've removed the safeguards

Last month, when the major app update came out, I went to submit my meter readings. Entered them, and then the app said: your day reading seems too low! And your night reading seems too high! I checked, and indeed, I've entered them the wrong way round. Fast forward to this month: entered them the wrong way round again. The app happily accepted them, no warning this time, then got a bill for +1800 extra day units, and -1800 less night units. Not a single system questioned if this can be right. Did someone remove the safeguards that were there in the initial release?

Shockingly Bad

This app was previously OK but in recent times it has become completely useless. Utilisation data is 5 to 6 days behind, payments data is always behind so it shows debt when you are in credit. Reported multiple times and nothing changes.

Missing electric data on bills

When viewing on the app and downloading the bills the June July and Mays bills no longer show the electric used or anything electric appear at all, it last appeared in Aprils bill where there was 6 pages!!!

Rubbish app

Every time when I do a meter reading it keeps coming up with a error message somethings not working and I now have to enter my meter readings online 😡

No Schedule for EV Charger

Sooner I find a new electric company the better. After paying £1000 for EV charger and installation at home, the old app you were able to schedule your electric car to operate during off-peak hours (00:00 - 06:00 was 07:00 but they decided to be difficult once you’re signed up).
They decided to get a new app that has not worked for scheduling from the month they brought it out. Sent a generic email to say things should be back to normal at the end of April and we’re now in August still having to manual charge the car at stupid hours of the morning. Not been anymore updates on when this will be fixed as they’re obviously using some form of cowboy app developers.
Nothing was wrong with the original app so I believe they’ve done this as they’re obviously using know not everyone will be able to stay awake to charge their cars at off peak hours so they end up clawing more money out of you

Monitor usage

I love that I can monitor my usage weekly and budget accordingly. I also find it easy to pay my bills now that Apple Pay is active.

Rubbish app.

Impossible to use. App is almost as bad as their telephone system. God knows how they’d keep any clients. I’ll be changing provider.

Still Rubbish after Upgrade

App is next to useless because of delays to usage data which has been a problem for years. New app looks pretty but is still based on useless out of date information. You really need to recruit a competent team rather than amateurs.

Useless usage data

Been with EOn for 18 months, in all that time the app has always shown wrong usage data, despite me reporting it many times nothing has improved 🙁 infact they recommend I use the Ivie app, which works fine.

Was really good but is now full of bugs

The app was really good, particularly the possibility to compare usage with the previous month or year but this has disappeared.

Payment

Got it sorted at last .. brilliant now.

Always Issues

All these companies want you to use their apps to pay and check your energy usage , but with a capital B its generally having issues such as unable to pay or it won’t update a meter reading … won’t except card payments was my latest … E.on if you want us to use it make it work please

Easy to use.

The ability to pay with Apple Pay is a game changer.

All so simple

With some trepidation, I signed-in to my E.on Account. For years, I’ve paid bills by visiting a PO. Never any difficulty but because of temporary building works it has become difficult to access the PO, and for the most recent bills I’ve been paying online. This particular payment has been via the e.on next App installed on my iPad. It was so simple and straightforward. I almost wish I could do it all again, now!

Useless App, not fit for purpose

The App data so far behind, it can’t even manage a week without missing data. There are other utilities providers with far more superior apps. You make enough money from customers so no excuse not to get someone decent to develop an app that actually works!

Was great till it wasn’t!

The app has bugs which now will no longer allow so people to top up online or through the app. Has incorrect credit information and has not been working for 3 weeks. App update didn’t fix the issues.

Weird artefacts

As an app it kind of functions, you can log in, Face ID works ok, when data is available it can show it BUT for multiple meter set ups it confuses entries and day and night readings, it consistently shows me notifications like “get a shiny new smart meter” though I have one, it logs you out really frequently then won’t accept Face ID again, shows energy saving tips that are irrelevant even if you’ve viewed them so yeah if it’s displaying a number it seems fine, app functionality is a bit all over the place

Meter reading

The meter reading on the new update doesn’t work if a one box for daytime and also fill a box for nighttime at the same time so went back to the old app
