Poor and very limited databse
I thought I was downloading the free version due to a very misleading load screen (see other reviews). I discovered I’d been charged for Plus too late to get a refund. I tried the app, but found I needed to enter too many details for too many foods to make it useful. You need to enter nearly everything that is more than simple, single foodstuffs. And for compound substances with many ingredients, like bread, it varies by brand and variety. You have to enter a custom recipe: You have to build your own database of foods!

No free option
Predatory screen refuses to allow you to use the free version, so in effect, it really is bait and switch. You’re not allowed to access a free version. Garbage advertisement. Reporting it to the BBB.
Limited use if you’re not from the US.
I’m from the UK. Most of the staples are there, but very little else. For example, the nearest I can get to a chocolate digestive biscuit is logging it as a graham cracker with 10g chocolate. I’ve no idea if that’s a realistic substitute but I suppose it’s better than nothing. It would also be useful to be able to store information on meals and recipes that you use regularly instead of having to input them every time especially if there are lots of ingredients.
