Absolute scam
This company is atrocious. Will look for any excuse possible to deny claims. Even when there is clear evidence covered by the possible, you will spend 6 months arguing with the representatives insinuating that they don’t have to cover anything. Do not waste the $30 a month. This company is not a pet insurance company. They are scammers

Best Pet Insurance
We have had Healthy Paws insurance on our 5.5 yom lab since he was a puppy. This last thanksgiving we found out he has an aggressive form of lymphoma. Without insurance it would have been extremely difficult financially to provide him the treatment he needed and deserves. Knowing we had Healthy Paws made the decision to treat easy. He’s 2.5 months into CHOP and doing great. Had we not had excellent pet insurance, the cancer would have taken him by now. Thank you Healthy Paws.

can’t access
I’m using an older iPad and the app is no longer accessible. The iPad can’t handle iOS26, but is otherwise up to date. I clicked the “app support” button in the app store, but it went to a failed link. Hopefully this will be resolved soon!
Autofill doesn’t work
I’m an app developer, and I noticed: The email textfield in the sign-in page doesn’t have autofill support enabled. The password field is fine. Hope you guys can fix :) Otherwise great app!
Price hike!!
I used to pay $33 10 years ago. They are now charging $257!! A month!!!! That’s more that my car insurance. This is not okay and taking advantage to people. And before you respond with price hikes are a normal practice. They aren’t to this degree!
Rip-off
After paying monthly premiums for over 5 years, my premiums have tripled in cost! The first year was $49/month. By the 5th year I was paying $167/month. My dog is very healthy & I never had a claim! I just submitted my first claim for approx $1,000 & it was denied! (My dog had an enlarged prostrate & a periodontal issue, both of which should have been covered by the insurance.) I’m done. What a rip-off, after paying so much all these years.

I adopted my cat from a local shelter when she was 2 years old. As you all are aware, shelters give animals a name. However once you adopt them, you can then change that name. That being said, I changed my cat's name when I adopted her but all of her paperwork from the shelter (eg. vaccine records) had her shelter name listed. I signed up for insurance and never really needed it until she broke a tooth and needed antibiotics. I confidently took her to the vet, expecting an expensive bill, but knowing that we would be supported by her insurance. WRONG!! I submitted her claim and they requested prior health history, so I submitted the only health history I had, which was her vaccine records from the shelter. They denied my claim because pf the name inconsistency. I explained this in an email and was never given any other avenues on how to go about refiling the claim. I will not continue paying for something that I know is not in the best interest of my pet.

🚨 Massive Rate Hike with No Warning — Avoid!
Healthy Paws more than doubled my premium for my 8-year-old dog — from $91 to $209 — with zero notice. I only found out after they charged my card. No chance to cancel beforehand, no refund offered. This feels deceptive and unfair. I’m attempting to cancel my policy (which they make incredibly difficult to do) and filed a complaint with the California Department of Insurance. Pet parents deserve transparency — I won’t trust them again.

This is tremendous! You snap a photo and your claim is filed. The records are all in there. It’s so so fast and easy! Great app and great company !!
Best pet insurance
I love this company. Fast reimbursement. Covered a dental with several issues like abscess and an oral growth, IVDD surgery, and now a soft tissue surgery. So happy I have this. My dog is in excellent health overall because I have the best medical care. Get this right away!

They are awesome, have had healthy paws since my first pup was born. Like any Medical insurance it is a cost each month but if you want a piece of mind Healthy Paws is the best. You hope you never need medical insurance but if you do you are glad you have it and that’s not the time to encounter issues. Healthy paws is the best when you submit a claim it is expedited, they follow up to make sure you pup is doing better. No scam no games to avoid paying. And their policy is very clear and easy to understand. I couldn’t ask for a better insurance heck it’s twice as good as my health insurance . If you want world class pet insurance Call Healthy Paws it will be the best thing you ever did for your pets.

Worst record keeping.
Every time I file a claim they ask for my pet's medical records. I have to email them several times and they never keep them on file. It's absolutely infuriating. When you are dealing with health issues for a loved member of your family, they make everything harder. If I wasn't locked in to this insurance I would dump it immediately.

Leaves a lot to be desired
Every document that you upload gets uploaded as a new claim.
Even if you’re not making a claim, for example, just submitting the SOAP documents get submitted as a new claim. Annoying.
Also, the app does not provide any way to see your policy, the full detailed policy.

Insurance yes/no ?
You might think that you don’t have a problem or reason to have pet insurance. You are so wrong we have been with them for I believe for seven years. Every couple of years something happens. Healthy Paws takes excellent care and gets our payments to us quickly. Thank you healthy paws.

Healthy Paws has been a great pet insurance provider. Once my Senior dog has had several heath issues and submit claims is easy and reimbursement is fast. Highly recommend.
Increase Rates + Credit Card fees
This company has increased my premium by over 100% since i first signed up over two years ago. Started at $18 a month and now am at $41 a month for the same policy. Just got an email for a 2.99% credit card fee for the monthly payments. This company doesnt stop increasing the price, suggest you look for alternatives companies
