HP Support Assistant is an excellent resource for specifications, troubleshooting assistance, and manuals for HP devices. The quality and depth of information far exceeds other device manufacturers. I have several HP desktops, laptops and printers. My next desktop, laptop, and printer will be a HP due the extensive support HP Support Assistance gives me.

Printer not found

Been fine for 12 months and now keeps saying printer not found followed instructions and still won’t find it ! Is this a ploy to make me buy a new one even thought I’ve not have this one too long !

It won’t except the serial number it’s asking for to connect the printer. Fire the staff who made the app or higher more qualified people. Trash waste of my time.

Just Dreadful

Oh my god, I can’t get past the first hurdle. Try to register my device, but the serial number has too many digits. There is no way the virtual assistant can get it head around it.
Another example of an organisation treating it’s customers like excrement

2 months and issue not resolved

Have raised a ticket 2 months back and waiting for the mercy of HP technician to visit and resolve the issue. Have made multiple calls to customer care and they just keep asking to wait for technician visit.

Dumber than rocks

If I came from my app where I was signed in, why do I have to sign in again? And, being that I did sign in again, as requested, why do I have to tell you what product model number I’m here to inquire on; I only have the ONE product, which, frankly, is more than I care to even admit at this point. I’m here for the ONE product I’m signed into; now, can we start there? Your AI is a HUGE waste of my time… running in circles. Please, fix your junk before pushing it on us to use.

Absolute trash

HP has gone the move of subscriptions for everything and your device will no longer work without one. I buy my own ink, but they want me signed up for subscriptions so I can use my device that I’ve already purchased. I’ll be happy when they go out of business.

Useless

I need help connecting my printer to wifi, this does not help with that. It takes me to the Smart app which also does not help. After countless router and printer restarts I still can’t connect to wifi. I won’t be purchasing any more HP products.

Doesn’t work

This is the worst app I’ve used in my entire life. Links are bad. Some send you out of the app into a mobile browser. Chatbot AI is so poorly implemented that it can’t even give customized feedback on the very device you’re required to enter in the app, despite it appearing at the top of every new chat.

Was this programmed by a college intern? No, a college intern would have gotten this right.

Guidance is not helpful for troubleshooting either. In general, HP support is so bad that I’ll never buy their products again. Good luck folks 🫡

cannot view app screen

I enter my serial number & the screen immediately scrolls up so high I can only just see ‘device found’ with only ‘cancel’ option available 🤯

Doesn’t work

The HP Envy printer ( 6 months old) keeps losing wifi connection. I get Printer Not Found. It has reconnected before using the troubleshooting as per the website but now it won’t work and when I go to troubleshoot I am directed to the app to reconnect to wifi. The app doesn’t work. When I get to Device Found, the screen freezes. I’ve tried probably about 50 times over the past couple of weeks and finally I have had to dump the printer. I won’t ever buy an HP again.

This is not progress.

Hello, I have tried for what seems like an hour to download and print a message that you have sent me. Your system that you have given me free will not print and I have torn my hair out trying to sort out what I should do next.

This is not progress. This makes me want to throw away my HP printer and get somebody else who might work.

I liked this originally!

However!, it is ridiculous that I’m forced to participate in these ink and paper subscriptions ONLY FROM THE HP INK AND PAPER SUBSCRIPTIONS NO MATTER WHETHER I EVEN USE MY PRINTER FOR MONTHS, ITS NOT LIKE THEY CHARGE FOR WHAT YOU DO USE AND KEEP TRACK FOR ROLLOVERS AND THEN TO ULTIMATELY CHARGE FOR WHAT YOU USE! This is ridiculous and I am not technologically challenged yet I have been having the most horrific experiences for the past 2 months because I moved the printer! I had JUST put in new ink cartridges (all HP!) and yet it said they’d need to be fixed to HP ones. What!? They ARE my HP subscription payed ink cartridges!!! Then the little annoying monitor thing is difficult and bizarre and has been the dumbest setup I’ve ever used! It wouldn’t sign me back in just bc of all these issues after moving it (just down the hall) and wouldn’t hook back up to my WiFi nor let me sign in or anything!!! It also separates you from the app or whatever you are using to annoyingly other dumb websites that don’t help either!!! So annoyed!! GET IT TOGETHER HP AND PRINTERS AND INK AND PAPER AND SUBSCRIPTIONS AND ALL THE ISSUES THAT YOU PROBABLY ANNOY AND FONT READ IF ITS A NEGATIVE REVIEW!!!

Worst service provider ever

I don’t know if they keep actually trained people for service of HP products . Monopoly is very dangerous that’s what they are thinking so no proper response to customer’s grievances

Do not download or buy hp products major security weakness and entry points using local network devices and bonjour handshakes

Why bother

Total and complete waste of time and effort.

I hit the HP website to find out how to connect my existing printer to my new router. Should be easy enough. Found their pitch that told me how easy it would be if I only downloaded their useless app. (They didn’t say it was useless… that’s my word). Anyway, after going through their registration process and finally getting back to my longer-than-necessary project. Problem is that even after all that effort, their waste of electrons couldn’t even identify my relatively new printer.

So I scrapped their ineffective solution and connected the old fashioned way.

Totally useless app

HP should be ashamed of themselves. Not only are their machines u deeper and their ink more expensive than liquid gold, they can’t even be bothered to offer good support!!! This app is completely useless, I can’t even sign in to see what the newest error on my new printer is. Avoid HP at all costs.

If there were any option to rate it in minus, I would’ve gladly done that

Hp is a team of foolish people and there services are ridiculous. No technician has visited my home yet even after been assigned from past week and there is a king of fools SANDEEP KUMAR , who calls irrelevant number and cancels your request based on the numbers they’ve talked to , claiming it ours.
It is my warning that do not buy any stuff from hp , I’ve bought two laptops in a decade and they both have made me cry due to problems and pathetic service rendered by hp
