I spent all morning trying to contact JAL using their idiot chat bot and calling their number. All useless. JAL does not care about their customers.

App is not user friendly. Kicked me out many times for no reason. Misspellings and confusing questions. Needs someone with better English ability to review for JAL and fix.

Long Haul Enjoyment
Flew round trip from RDU to BKK, knew I was going to be comfortable in business class but didn’t actually get on a JAL aircraft until I was in Dallas, flying to Tokyo was good but couldn’t get the WiFi to work on my fone in flight, the stewards were no help blaming it on the airline and I just said there’s plenty of other on board entertainment. JAL was high class the people were awesome and very helpful.

Simply the Best
Come on! No one beats Japan Airlines even if you have the last seat by the galley and on a full flight, consider yourself lucky. From the superbe service to the last detail. Don’t take any other airliners .

How do they do it?
App crashes when trying to book a ticket. Website crashed after 30 minutes adding a ridiculous amount of unnecessary information and on the final purchase page. I’ll fly ANA.
Very difficult to use.
Horrible experience trying to join. Very inconvenient to sign up and difficult to use this app.
Least friendly airlines
It appears that you cannot become a member of this airline unless you are Japanese. But American Airlines partners with them. So to check in you have to sign in on JAL as a guest and find your reservation (with a different confirmation no than AA uses) and then you can get a boarding pass. Bit of a pain in the neck. Taiwan and Singapores airlines do not make you jump through all these hoops.

When filling out information, it should tell you which fields is incorrect so you can just correct that field, but everything reset and all the fields are blank again so you don’t know which fields are incorrect and you have to fill out each field again.
Nothing works right
I get an email about a 3 minute schedule change and I have to go and confirm it. The link to website just takes you to a page that says error. You try to call and it’s an hour wait. I tried getting the app and joining the mileage club. It gives me my itinerary and tells me there’s a change and to confirm it but oh no the page you end up on does the same thing. So 3 hours were spent on something that should have taken 1 minute and it’s still not resolved. Get your digital technology working!!!
