Poor App
Just like the service the app won’t open now that I’ve downloaded it..
Throws error
Every time I open this app and tap on the second tab to see the usage. It throws an error, saying that it is unable to display the information and that if it happens repeatedly to let MediaCom know.
Troubleshooting tools don’t work on app
The app troubleshooting tools don’t work. I have to call support then I get belittled for calling support as the app can do it. Ridiculous.
Poor app and service
Internet constantly goes out. No outage map in the app. What use is this app? All it is focused on is paying the bill and upselling the service. No meaningful customer value to speak of. Cannot initiate a live chat. Must either text, email

This app is hands-down, the worst of all the big phone and cable companies. Mediacom is lost back in the 90s, and it is proven day after day by the app, the service, and the completely clueless and ignorant Customer Service people they employ. Admittedly, all cable and phone companies are horrible, but mediacom stands at the very top all by itself as the worst of the worst.

Slow and full if bugs
The app is very slow and doesnt work well.
What good is this
I expected to troubleshoot and reset my home internet from the app. Nope! Tried searching for help and it opened webpage to presumed help files which could find nothing from any of my searches. Now to uninstall this as it’s a waste of space. Mostly like Mediacom’s off shore call centers, worthless!

Intentionally Difficult
It seems Mediacom makes account access intentionally difficult. Every time I regain access to my account after a grueling process, I note my username & password. The next time I go to log in, they don’t work. Numerous experiences with this. When I try account recovery, I never receive the email OR the code via text despite using accurate information & no spam/junk/filter. Zero issues with any other provider or platform but repeated issues with Mediacom. You’d think one of the largest / most successful ISP’s in the Midwest would care enough to provide better services & better software to their customers. Please don’t reply & tell me how sorry you are. People see through that. Fix it.

it worked for a week then kicked me out and dosent let me make a new password to log in had to switch to my laptop not sure if that’s gonna stop working too unreliable.

This app was fairly consistent for a while but now I can’t even sign in.
Speed Tests Never Work
Every time my wifi connection has gone out for whatever reason, I try to do a speed test and the webpage the app takes me to just keeps endlessly loading until it times out. At least five times now. Literally makes my blood boil and is enough for me to consider switching to Imon or AT&T
Broken external links, layout is not intuitive
Half the things you should be able to find or do on this app instead require you to click on an external link, e.g., to check your connection speed. That link doesn’t even work on iPhone, it won’t load even with firewall/protections turned off. The customer service links bring you anywhere but a simple chat instance. And there is no technician chat, just customer service (which have been helpful and kind in my experience but when I need someone to physically come check something they are not who I’m supposed to be talking to). One link that is supposed to bring you to a help site brings you to a webpage that is instead trying to get you to add lines (trying to get me to pay more when it’s already broken is just a slap in the face). All of this is on top of the confusion of having everything split between a webpage, this app, and the Eero app. Paying so much for internet should at least get you a working app that doesn’t function and look like it’s from 2007.

Mediacom sucks
No matter how much you pay they can never have their equipment work. You get it replaced just for it to stop working again. Their solution is always “ have you unplugged it ?” But I don’t work for mediacom nor pay them every month to do their job . The app doesn’t work half the time. Do yourself a favor and find a different company.

Horrid UI
For a tech company this has to be absolute WORST app layout I’ve ever seen

There’s too much stuff on the app. It’s not necessary. I just want to see my bill and pay it.
