Cannot fix video
Cannot set and lock a specific location/view for the camera. Every time I open that setting, the app freezes.

In general the owl is awesome. New updates cause glitches especially in the app. The focus aspect

Bad
Clicking to set a static location just brings up a gray screen. Broken app when I needed it the most thanks for messing up something really important for me.
Use the iPhone app
I have to second what the other commenter contributed — seems silly that a device people are obviously using for work would require your personal phone to operate, and none of the Owl-created troubleshooting ever suggested or indicated I’d need it on my phone rather than computer. Spent a very annoying 45 minutes Googling, reinstalling the app, unplugging my Owl, etc. before I found this person’s rating of the app!

App hangs when trying to fix on a specific spot
The setting to fix the camera n a specific spot or zoom causes the app to hang.

The app is clean and easy to navigate. Connecting to a Meeting Owl is straightforward — the app detects nearby devices over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi and guides you through setup with minimal friction. Features are organized logically, making it easy even for non-technical users to adjust settings without needing IT support.

Not Functional
Device worked once. Proceeded to setup for a corporate meeting after initial test. Device won’t sync with bar. Everything just spinning. Was not outputting to tv.
Bugs
The lock and zoom feature now longer works. It just displays a non reactive grey screen.

Everything works perfectly fine as it should.

So confusing to set up
All of the instructions on their webpage wasn’t up to date. It was impossible to follow along with the step by step instructions.
Only connects thirty percent of the time
So frustrated with this app. Very unreliable.
Use the iPhone App
I don't know if this is an owl or mac issue, but you need to download the stupid iphone app to connect to the owl to update it so it will work with the mac. Poor design.
Feature request
Can we add the possibility to spin the 360 pano virtually, so we can choose which part of the pano is in the middle of the screen?

let me get this straight, in order to setup the Owl Bar to work without internet, I first need to connect it to the internet? Genius
Very helpful to operate the Owl
I used the app to upgrade the software on our original Owl camera, and that provided some very helpful additional functionality! Be sure to upgrade the software!
Just don’t.
The fact that this device could have easily been made to be more user friendly as a plug and play device, rather than having to rely on a completely separate app AND needing Wi-Fi to download simple firmware, which also means that in a corporate environment I need to involve my network security team to whitelist this kind of device, I cannot justify the price on something like this. There are far better all in one camera, mic, and speaker systems. It’s a very unnecessary ancillary device.
