The app is working again!
Update 7/23/26- Thank you to Katie with tech customer service for helping fix things. I had to uninstall and reinstall the app to get the update loop to go away.

Not a Good insurance
I have never been treated so badly and assisted in a wrong way and still, nobody answered my situation beyond telling me it was going to be reviewed
App not working
App tells you to update, takes you to the App Store to update, but then won’t update.
Not worth it unless you like submitting paper work that keeps getting rejected
Every claim I make is rejected and more info is required I submit the info from the vet and still rejected, I thought I signed up for the preventative care with this more costly plan but that was also extra that I missed it, too late to change, so I get to pay all the vet bills and the insurance doesn’t have to pay for anything I submit, so don’t recommend it, unless you have money to burn

Weak customer service
I tried to appeal a claim and was told I needed to update my pets names in the policy. However you cannot do that over the app or in the site, that I can see. I wait for weeks before getting a response from a rep. Starting to regret getting this policy.
App Not Working AT ALL
The app keeps taking me in a circle to update, and I go to open it and it requires me to update again. And goes in an infinite circle.
Unbelievable App!
You take our money every month without blinking but when it comes time for us to file a claim you definitely make it harder for us. Now we can’t even get on the app! Before the excuses were given that none of that was covered under your account! You claim to care about our pets. What a Scam!
App does not work
Opened the app and it stated that an update was required. I did that. Opened the app again and I get the same message over and over again. I powered off my phone as well (because that’s what you’re always told to do when you’re having issues). The app still isn’t working. I just want to upload documents to file a claim.

They tell you that you have to update the app and it doesn’t let you update it lolol! Always a joke with this company
Very disappointed
I was lied to and given incorrect information, and had my account charged for an amount and date I didn’t agree to. Agents refused to give my money back. I talked to Sr Rep James and he was worse than the front line agent. He didn’t listen, spoke over me, refused to help, refused to give me a manager. Terrible experience for a new member with plenty of options for places I can get pet insurance. I will be leaving if this issue is not resolved!

Unusable
As other reviewers are stating, app is currently unusable. Simply has a loop telling you to update the app, even when fully updated.

I’ve used this app but now it’s telling me it’s REQUIRED to update it, however it doesn’t update or open the app. 😡 Frustrating. Up until now, it worked ok.
Update issue
App says to update but would not give me that option, instead it just keeps opening up the app and i pretty much end up in an infinite loop
I Regret Getting Pet Insurance Through MetLife Pet
The app can be glitchy and the company bold face lies to you as your pet’s needs increase. They are not accommodating to people with disabilities and prioritize their bottom dollar. They used to be great, but nowadays they are unprofessional and you have to fight tooth and nail to get your claims honored.

Update is broken
Developer needs to fix this and stop auto-replying to have Customers contact them directly. This is a version update issue that needs to be resolved and is clearly not applicable to one app user but all iOS users. Recognize the trend and resolve it!

Denial of claims that are not preexisting prior to insurance start date
MetLife auditors are not reading the charts and invoices. They are making errors in claims reported.
