The worst app experience
Multiple policies stay on your dashboard (even closed policies) allowing you to submit documents to. The claims department don’t receive the documents. I mean it’s just the most chaotic and disorganized experience.
Always there for you and your pet
Recently my beloved dog needed to be euthanize. This was very painful for my wife and myself, we have had our Vizsla since she was a puppy and now almost turning 13. She had been sick for a while and it was time to give her peace.
I called MetLife a few days later to ask what I needed to do. They had my answer within seconds, while still showing empathy. Make this tough moment in my family's life less painful.

Completely stopped working on iPhone XS
The first screen shows that you have to update the system software. Bottom line - the app doesn’t work on iPhone XS with iOS 18.7.9
Constance system updates
I find this app useless and prefer just accessing MetLife pet through the web. Often times when I open the app I get a notification that app update is required, but went I go to App Store there is no update available. Because of these notifications to update the app, I can’t even access the app to submit a claim when needed.

MetLife Pet is the best pet insurance you could hope for!! Don’t hesitate to purchase this for your furry friend (or friends!) Their claim process is SO easy. The Customer Service team is top-notch. I am so glad I purchased this and wish I hadn’t waited so long to!! Don’t hesitate if you’re thinking about it!!

Don’t use this company. I’ve been trying to get any and all claims paid for the last three years. They are so bad.

MetLife Pet has been very good to me and I have MetLife insurance also for myself. Very good company.

Update 7/23/26- Thank you to Katie with tech customer service for helping fix things. I had to uninstall and reinstall the app to get the update loop to go away.

Not a Good insurance
I have never been treated so badly and assisted in a wrong way and still, nobody answered my situation beyond telling me it was going to be reviewed
App not working
App tells you to update, takes you to the App Store to update, but then won’t update.
Not worth it unless you like submitting paper work that keeps getting rejected
Every claim I make is rejected and more info is required I submit the info from the vet and still rejected, I thought I signed up for the preventative care with this more costly plan but that was also extra that I missed it, too late to change, so I get to pay all the vet bills and the insurance doesn’t have to pay for anything I submit, so don’t recommend it, unless you have money to burn

Weak customer service
I tried to appeal a claim and was told I needed to update my pets names in the policy. However you cannot do that over the app or in the site, that I can see. I wait for weeks before getting a response from a rep. Starting to regret getting this policy.
App Not Working AT ALL
The app keeps taking me in a circle to update, and I go to open it and it requires me to update again. And goes in an infinite circle.
Unbelievable App!
You take our money every month without blinking but when it comes time for us to file a claim you definitely make it harder for us. Now we can’t even get on the app! Before the excuses were given that none of that was covered under your account! You claim to care about our pets. What a Scam!
