Top reviews

The app works great. MetLife pet insurance however…

If you’re downloading the app it’s probably too late. But for my folks checking the reviews before getting this insurance.. this is for you.

Don’t.

I have a 3 year old puppy. Went to the vet, poor guy had a bad ear infection.

Racked up a nice $570 vet bill, I paid out of pocket.

I pay ~ $500 a year for the insurance.

Let’s call it a cool 1k I paid this year for the vet and pet insurance.

Insurance is going to pay me back $150 of the $500 I paid.

So iv paid 850 to the vet and insurance. If I didn’t have the insurance I would have saved 300 dollars this year.

Oh and as a fun little kicker, they doubled my payment for the rest of the year. Lord I can’t wait for Oct to get here so I can get rid of these wallet goblins.

Annoying

Prepare to get every claim denied initially by the likely AI tool they have reviewing them, have to dispute them all, clarify for MetLife what your deductible is… and ask your vet to send redundant notes for every single thing. So much work to get the coverage you’re paying every month for.

Can't open

I can't open this app! Every time I tap on it it says go to the App Store to update then the only option is to "open". Then the process repeats!!! PLEASE FIX THIS

Horrible

App says system update required despite no update available

I cannot access the app right now, and neither can my husband on his phone. When i open the app it says “Required System Update” and I cannot access the rest of the app. When I go to the app’s update page, there is no update available for me. I’m not sure what to do from here.

Your problem not me

My autopay is fine, it’s you!

App not working

The app tells me it has an update but there is no update available in the app settings. Essentially I can’t use the app at all.

Nothing seems to be covered

It’s incredibly difficult to get MetLife Pet to pay any claims. We submit all of the required documentation, but the company always seems to find a reason to deny our claims.

This company sucks

Worst company. They don’t cover anything. I’ll never use this service again.

Unable to open app

Unable to open app, says I need the latest version but according the app store I do have the latest version.

Doesn’t work

App doesn’t work. Every time I open it, it says it needs an update to work but when I go back to the App Store it only will keep opening it, not allowing any option for an update. Thought it would be easier to submit claims then online but it’s useless

MetLife Pet Ins. is there when most needed

Pinky my 13 year old cat was diagnosed with lung tumors and as devastating the news was. MetLife made it easy for me to get reimbursement for his care. I will definitely use MetLife Pet Insurance if I ever get another pet.

Great service and easy process

I’m very happy with my Met Life policy for my cats. All claims have been handled promptly and without confusion. The claims app is intuitive and easy to use when filing a claim. The claims adjusters have always followed up with my Vet to resolve when a piece of documentation necessary for the claim was left out. Even the preventative coverage has saved me quite a bit.

Broken app

The app doesn’t let me in, asking for an update. Jokes on you — I’m on the latest version.

Unable to open app - newer version

I’m unable to open the app and I have the latest version downloaded

The best pet insurance company I’ve ever had

Unhappy camper

Bait ‘n Switch

Not great

App isn’t the greatest with opening new claims. Adding multiple documents often ends up with multiple claims opening. And reimbursement takes forever and a day

Happy member of MetLife Insurance

I have two cats insured with MetLife and I am very pleased with this company. Their customer service is incredible, you always get to talk with live representative and they are very friendly and professional. After your claim is resolved , you will get reimbursement same day. After submitting the documents, all my claims have took 3 business days max. Anybody who is looking for a good reliable insurance for their babies I warmly recommend MetLife. Especially after my older cat was diagnosed with dental disease and needed dental cleaning and multiple visits to the vet, they really were there for us to support in the journey. Thank you MetLife for your help and professionalism and for the kind customer service agents 💖

App is not working

The app keeps telling me to update. It takes me back to the Apple Store. There is no update. Available is not letting me log in. I can’t do nothing with it.
