Worst internet I’ve ever had can’t get in touch with an agent. Want to cancel so they won’t talk to me.
High Speed Scam
Seriously, don’t bother. If you have heavy upload / download needs this is a waste. All my neighbors said it was great for them. Well, they must watch TV on one device and not have any gamers or other heavy data demands. They don’t tell you that your “high speed” data is limited. So then you have to purchase credits which makes it just as expensive as whatever alternative brought you here. And you have to sign a contract so then you’re stuck for a whole year.

As the other reviews have stated. There are hard data cats. It slows down even before you use it all up. Do not get this.
Terrible service subpar customer service
Ive had this provider for a year now. The app is subpar and any of the representatives who do the online support are rude and will end the chat on you. They up my monthly charges randomly and refuse to be held accountable for robbing their customers
Glitchy App
I can’t ever successfully have a full conversation with customers support via the chat option in the app because it glitches so much. The customer support person always ends up disconnecting before the app starts working right again. It sends messages from both sides of the conversation repeatedly resulting in any response from either party getting lost in the mic.

Been with them for awhile, price just keeps going up. Over $100 a month for WiFi that’s so bad. Only WiFi I can get where I live sadly.
Scam
Hughes net is a scam. Unlimited data means about 2 weeks of high speed then the rest of the billing period is super slow. You can but tokens for $1/ fb but they last about a day. Everything they tell you pre sale is a lie. Stay away from this sleazy company!!

Terrible service
Slow, unstable internet with sky-high ping. Impossible to work, game, or have video calls. Useless support and constant excuses. And if you try to cancel early, they hit you with a $400 fee. HughesNet is just throwing your money in the trash.
Do not recommend
I’ve had Hughes Net for about 8 years. It’s just the worst. I am planning on switching soon…we are finally getting some choices in our area.
Worst internet ever
We chose this company over Starlink as we live in a rural area. It is the worst internet service ever. We pay for the highest gb but it always runs out. Even when we have enough data, they slow it down in the evenings and especially on weekend nights. Xfinity is coming to our area soon so we will be switching as soon as we can.

I like it
I talked to several people about this service before getting it. Most everyone that I talked to was disappointed. I live in a rural area in Arkansas and honestly I like it. Both my sons and myself can be gaming and streaming at the same time. It would be nice to have an option for true unlimited but I get 200 gigs of high speed then throttled down after that and am still able to stream or game. Happy customer here.

It’s alright! It could be better! It’s good if you have a big household and people are using the internet for different things at the same time. It goes out when it’s a slight cloud or about to rain/storm which i very much dislike because I was told it’ll work even through rain and storms. But it’ll do, if that’s the only thing you can really get in your area. I dislike how you can’t make payments or let a bill roll over cause the speed slows down a lot then the tokens don’t last at all.

I think I was way too nice giving them the 1 star, honestly. Hughesnet is awful. Plain and simple. I’ve had them a little over a year now and recently got Star link and the difference is incredible. PLEASE do not waste your time with them if you enjoy having wifi, but if you rather throw away money every month then sure it’s the one for you.

SCAM
Worst service ever. “Unlimited” but only a few gb of high speed that will only last 2-3 weeks and we only have 2 people in our household. Apparently we were tied to a 12 month contract and when that ended I tried to cancel and all of a sudden it turns into a 24 month contract. Called to complain on a day that it wasn’t working at all and they said that they could not do anything and on that day we used up 60GB!! Once our first year ended they added fees without telling us and DOUBLED our bill, saying that we had been on a special discount that was only good for three months. For three months we paid about $130 without realizing. Surprisingly, after we began to pay more, our GB lasted throughout the entire month and we were still on the same plan. This WiFi glitches all the time and doesn’t reach our entire home. Since it is satellite, every time I would call for support, their excuse was always the weather.

This wifi seems good and stuff but its really bad if you use it for gaming or watching TV or use both same time they both would be bad but for watching tv its really good but for gaming not really you would be running like 1500 PING and bad fps but overall pretty mid wifi but one more problem and thats when you buy tokens sometimes the tokens dont work and the Wi-Fi stays the same speed but overall pretty good wifi👍

The ABSOLUTE WORST INTERNET IVE EVER HAD. If it’s raining I don’t have internet and even in clear skies it’s as slow as molasses. The first bill was around 200 and the cancellation fee was over 400 . It is no where near worth it when my shows are in the lowest quality and I can’t play online games.

This is the worst Service I ever experienced. I would not recommend this service to anyone. This service quote you one price but when the bill comes it is twice the amount quoted. The internet service is horrible and runs out before the month is over. When this happens they have an offer to buy a token which doesn’t help at all. Just spending more money for a service that’s not worth it. Immediately canceling this service.
