About

Reserve helps you track and intentionally manage your energy with ME/CFS and Long COVID (pacing) — at your own pace. Reserve is a journaling and self-management tool. It does not provide diagnoses and is not a medical device — it helps you keep track of your energy, symptoms, and good and bad days. YOUR ENERGY RESERVE A quick morning check-in on sleep, energy, and brain fog — combined with your Apple Health data (sleep including deep and REM stages, heart rate variability, resting heart rate) — gives you a personal "Energy Reserve." It's based on your own 14-day average and decreases throughout the day with your exertion. APPLE WATCH See your Reserve right on your wrist and start activities without reaching for your iPhone. A watch face complication shows your current level at a glance. SIRI SHORTCUTS Ask for your current Reserve, start your morning check-in, or open the activity planner — by voice through Siri or the Shortcuts app, without opening the app. PLAN ACTIVITIES In the Simulator, estimate how much an activity might cost — physically, orthostatically, cognitively, and emotionally. This helps you make deliberate decisions and spread exertion throughout the day. DIARY & MEDICATIONS Log symptoms, crashes, and notes — even retroactively with any date. Enter your medications and supplements with individual dosage and time, including reminders for each dose; they appear daily until you remove them. TRENDS See the history of Body Battery, HRV, resting heart rate, sleep, and active energy — with a freely selectable time range (3 days to 6 months), average line, and day-of-week pattern comparison. REPORT FOR YOUR DOCTOR Export your data as a clear PDF — with trend graphs, daily values, check-ins, diary entries, and medications. Handy for referring to concrete records during appointments. PRIVATE Your data stays on your device — no server of our own, no tracking, no account with us. You can optionally enable backup through your private iCloud account so your diary, medications, and history carry over when you switch devices; this runs entirely through Apple's iCloud, not through us. Apple Health data is used read-only. Reserve does not replace medical advice. Please make medical decisions together with your care team.

What's New in Reserve

2.0

October 28, 2026

Reserve 2.0 – pacing rethought New: • A completely new design: dark, calm, with arcs instead of rings and a week strip. Tap a past day to see its entries. • Load index: shows how much of your energy is used up today – including the aftermath of recent days. • Reserve analysis: see what shapes your reserve today, plus the long-term trend of your values. • New trends: personal normal range, health monitor, crash timeline and patterns from your own data. • Sleep-stage chart and pulse curve with stress curve. • HRV from the night, compared with your last 60 days. • Optional cycle calendar: phases, prediction, planning hints and analysis of your reserve and crashes by phase. • Planned activities can be ticked off so they are not counted twice. Restful activities no longer cost start-up energy. • A very low energy value in the check-in caps your reserve – even when sensor values are good. • Widget, Apple Watch and complication in the new design – with load and week dots. • Background updates: reserve, widget and Apple Watch stay current even when the app is closed. Improved: • History, week strip and traffic-light thresholds now use the morning value. • The status label on “Today” uses the same personal thresholds as the arc. • Better support for VoiceOver and larger text. Note: Reserve is not a medical device. All values are estimates for self-management and do not replace medical advice.
