SmartShop ending support for convenience stores

The one differential between Sainsbury’s and other supermarkets is the ability to use their SmartShop app in convenience stores. Why has that feature been pulled from this app?

Smart Shop is better

Camera scans are a faff due to focus issues. Poor integration with Nectar. Don't replace the excellent Smartshop with this useless in-app feature

Awful

I scanned a whole shop, then an attendant came and re-scanned half my trolley. Then it refused to transfer to the till so I had to completely start over. What rubbish.

Missing Shopping List

In the old Sainsbury’s Shop app it had a section for adding stuff to a shopping list, so you could tick off as you go.

Doesn’t Save Time

Had very few problems using the old SmartShop app.

But first time using SmartShop on this app was a disaster. Nectar prices wouldn’t load, full check triggered and ended up having to go to a till to unpack everything.

Deeply unimpressed.
