What’s up with the new design?

How come all the words are lower case? I’ll bring the review back up to 5 stars after they change it…

Tipping Should Be Optional, Not Pre-Selected

Defaulting to a 20% tip on pickup orders is disappointing. I am not receiving any additional service beyond picking up my own drink, yet the app automatically selects a tip amount unless I manually change it.

Tipping should be an intentional choice, not something customers have to opt out of every time. This design feels manipulative and creates unnecessary friction during checkout.

Please stop pre-selecting tips for pickup orders and let customers decide for themselves.

Be Careful Ordering

Be extra careful not to click the button to check out unless you’re ready to check out. You have to click the button that says “add to cart”. If you click check out then they basically use your card without confirming the payment. Plus they automatically put your tip down for 15%. You have to click “other” and put 0 if you don’t want to tip.

Missing a GIFTING feature

This app used to have a functionality where you could buy your friends a voucher essentially for an item at a restaurant and it was something we loved doing on birthdays and special events. Not sure why the feature was removed as this was a huge hit and made it better than grub hub/uber eats

Serious billing transparency issue

The in-app receipt does not show the service fee, but the total already includes it. The fee only appears in the email receipt, creating inconsistent records for the same transaction.

Users cannot reliably verify what they were charged. This raises concerns about pricing transparency.

Customer support was dismissive and did not address the inconsistency.

Needs immediate fix or clear disclosure.

Stop forcing location permissions to use the app.

Just stop. And no I don’t want notifications either.

Why did they change the UI and features

The old UI was so much better and easier to navigate. Why cant you see how many eggs you collected with your friends that was a novel feature.

What’s going on? Scam now?

Used their app for years and we only purchased their drinks in one area. We have location enabled in the app but our order was send to some suspicious place in Flushing NY. No info on Google map for their address. The provided phone number 646-### is discontinued. Send a message inside the Apple with 5 minutes after the order. They told us cancellation is okay but no refund?!

Hardest app to pay money for. Can’t take picture of card as well

Worst

They are just worst kind of company. Their delivery man stole my food and after complaining for half a month, they could not do anything. I then reached out to my credit card company to claim my money.

Text so hard to read

All the text is too small, thin and doesn't help that it's all in lowercase. The font in the resign is atrocious for readability. It makes using the app absolutely horrible. Additionally all of my favorite restaurants are now buried in the list making it hard to find because app now proritizes emojis rather than the name of the business. The basic rules of graphic design were not followed in the redesign of this app. TERRIBLE

Best app for ordering food!

No question the best app for ordering food and getting rewarded

The reward in this app is a scam

Never use this app. They manipulated you to place the first order with $5 off discount for $15 meal and above. I purchased and never have the discount applied.

Secondly, they give me a notification to use birthday gift with one month expiration date. Only been 3 days, I logged back in, the promo is nowhere to be found.

Such a cheapass app. Better use Doordash, Ubereat, Grubhub, or call the restaurant directly. At least the promotions there are real. This app is an equivalent of Internet Explorer among the Google Chrome and Bing. Slow and bland design.

Bad Feature Design

Should point out to users if they have redeemable discounts. There is pointer to it.

Too many lies

First of all, this app has a super annoying feature where it displays a pop-up after every time you place an order, asking you to share the app with a friend, or else “throw away your free gift 😢” You shouldn’t make users have to click that every time, it’s a hassle. Second, the rewards UX systems are not standardized across participating restaurants, so often you might see that you have a reward like a free slice of pizza, but have no way to redeem it! Lastly, the countdown timer and “Your order is ready!” feature is completely useless, it doesn’t have anything to do with any actions from the actual employees at the restaurant, so often you’ll arrive when the app says your order is ready, and they won’t even have started it! 3 stars because it’s often the only option at restaurants, but not nearly what it should be.

Response from developer

Thank you for writing in! Yes, restaurants get to create their own rewards on Snackpass, which means they are not standardized - but also that there are some great deals to be had! We will take your feedback into consideration about the order ready times, as we are constantly working to improve the Snackpass App.

Amazing

Undisputed GOAT for students and people in a rush. Despite not having as many options as other food services (not the apps fault) it doesn’t charge you any more to pick up your own food like other apps, straight up prices and amazing services. If you’re wondering if it’s legit, been using it for 3 years and have had no problems. Must have!

Not sending the code

When I’m trying to click send code when I typed in my phone number, the code is not sending and I have pressed the sent button maybe 10 times or more. This is starting off horrible, only if there was a way they could fix it
