RFID scan to add passport!

After naturalization I needed to update my global entry with my new US passport. A month ago this was an eight week wait period for CBP to do it by email. I thought today, why not check out this new app. Turns out it allows you to RFID scan your passport and add it instantly to your global entry. That’s amazing!

Arrgh! Who messed this up?

What a ridiculous update to the former Global Entry app (which can no longer be accessed). I can’t log in to this app as I’m on vacation overseas and don’t have access to my US phone number. I can’t receive a verification text and this really messed up app’s other verification process is Face or Touch ID. Great, except IT DOES NOT WORK! Hope I will have time to log in when I land back in US before I get to CBP.
