Awful Service

I tried Unimeal but realised quickly it wasn’t for me. I was inundated with emails to pay for a personal trainer etc. It didn’t fit with my lifestyle. Having not used it for months, I had a subscription fee of £83.99 come out of my bank account. I was unaware this would happen and after contacting customer service they said I received an email prior to tell me. I did not receive this. Why would I pay for an app I clearly haven’t used or even updated. As a single parent on a tight budget, especially as it’s the summer holidays, I asked that I be refunded my money. I explained that this has left me in financial difficulty this week with our food shopping budget. The ‘good will’ gesture I was offered was an extra 6 months subscription. This is quite insulting, I said I can barely afford food this week so what good is a meal planner when I can’t afford ingredients now?! I’m really disappointed and struggling now. Despite the situation they are adamant they won’t refund my money. There is no human element to this app. So if you wish to try a health and fitness app that isn’t transparent with costs and will keep sending emails asking for fees for other services, that’s clearly all about profit then this is the one for you!

I love it

I’d struggled with my weight for years. I tried everything and spent a lot of money, but saw no real results. Then I decided to try intermittent fasting. I began losing about 0.5 lbs per day. I followed the app’s dietary guidelines closely, with small tweaks to fit my African dietary preferences. I cut out sugar and unhealthy snacks. In three weeks, I went from 147 lbs to 136 lbs. I also exercise daily. My BMI moved from slightly overweight to normal. I feel great and would definitely recommend this.

More Food Options

There needs to be more diversity in the food options, for example curry (of course with less calories and stuff) etc.

DO NOT USE if you don’t want to be ripped off and waste your time

I jumped on during a promotion and things were okay, but honestly I wasn’t able to use the app as I wanted due to a family member’s illness and being the caretaker. My account was deactivated due to inactivity. I have been going for over 1 month trying to get everything cancelled. They charge me twice a month $39.99. No number to call and everything in the email has been an automated response. Because of the deactivation, I can’t log in to get cancelled fully. But, no person has helped me to get cancelled by email, so they continue to charge me for a service I am not using and physically can’t use due to the account being deactivated. I don’t know how you can continue to charge an account that has deactivated, that is just poor service from any company. I sent all information needed to look me up and yet they can’t find my account, despite still charging. Going through my bank to cancel this out for good. At this point their company is just stealing. I want to give this a 0 of 10 because of the hassle it takes to cancel, but I have to have a star to leave the review. If you plan on using this use a reloadable gift card. DO NOT ATTACHE YOUR BANK CARD to this company unless you plan on cancelling out the whole card.
