Disappointed

Hard to set up password and connection issues and doesn’t really link with router as 1 system seamlessly....disappointed ! Doesn’t maximise layout easily. Cuts out ! Aarrgghh.

Poor- would not recommend.

I have a four disc set up. One disc keeps dropping out and is not reliable. Despite two devices being in close proximity to the disc that is unreliable the disc does not pick up the two devices. The four discs cost £200 at the time and I would not recommend them.

Fab 7

I was going to rate this as a 4 as it took a while to get them all to turn blue. However, we are running 7 discs over quite a large area and they are all working well which I think deserves 5 stars. Very simple to set up. And no setting messing about when router changed when fibre arrived. Happy days

Very quick , easy, and it worked!
What more could you ask for?
Very happy.

On the “whole”… poor

This app is slow to respond, if at all. Often needs a restart. Often doesn’t show the details of connected devices. Has never found a firmware update. The app has not been updated in years.

FAQ

What does the Whole Home Wi-Fi from BT app do?

This app allows you to set up and manage your BT Whole Home Wi-Fi system, including the Mini, standard, and Premium versions. It helps ensure you have fast and reliable Wi-Fi coverage throughout your entire home, eliminating dead zones.

How does the app improve my Wi-Fi?

The app facilitates the setup of your Wi-Fi discs, which work together to create a seamless network. Built-in technology automatically connects your devices to the strongest signal as you move around, ensuring no drop-outs for streaming, gaming, or general internet use.

Is this app compatible with all BT Wi-Fi services?

This app is specifically for the white discs of the Whole Home Wi-Fi range (Mini, Whole Home Wi-Fi, and Premium Whole Home Wi-Fi). It will not work for BT's Complete Wi-Fi service (the black discs); for that, you need to download the My BT app.

Can I use this app if I don't have BT broadband?

Yes, all versions of the Whole Home Wi-Fi system managed by this app work with any broadband provider. You can use the app to set up and manage your Wi-Fi network regardless of your internet service provider.

What are the benefits of using Whole Home Wi-Fi?

The primary benefit is achieving strong, reliable Wi-Fi in every room of your house, eliminating Wi-Fi dead zones. This allows for uninterrupted use of devices for activities like streaming TV and movies, playing games, and music, even in previously hard-to-reach areas.
