  • Better than a web app

I believe that mobile version is much cleaner and user experience is generally better - weird one, as probably more people are using the web !
  • Gamechanger

Mobile distributed agile project management tool. I use Slack, Notion, Google, Teams. Jira adds value, visibility and consistency above any other collab tools I use. The iOS app has steadily improved and on an iPhone 12 Pro Max is my main work tool for product and project management. Highly recommend.

  • Mobile app doesn’t sync with online system

If I go online and work through my tickets and clear them all out. The mobile app doesn’t get updated and I have to clear them out manually a second time. There does not seem to be a setting for this which makes no sense because clearly the mobile app is getting updated when the tickets need attention

  • Excellent, robust and highly configurable.

Been using it for over 15 years now, just keeps getting better.
  • Report / data export difficulty

I have a can run a bulk data export, of sorts, am unable to figure out how to include and then export that date with the fields I need, including one called ‘Story Point Estimate’.

I also cannot figure out how to remove from tjat data export fields that I don't want, such as all the watcher and attachment fields, and a fe others. I’m sure there is a way, but cant find it . Can you advise?

  • What a superb tool

Having worked in the project and programme space for some time now it is refreshing to finally find a tool that works. Jira is is built on a philosophy of not screwing the customer/ end user and this is evident right from the outset. It is user friendly and straight forward to use. You can customise your own workflows and there are not a million drop downs that you typically find in tools like ServiceNow. One thing is clear, this is not just a tool for software developers and can by used by programme managers and PMs who are moving into the Agile space. You will find this out for yourself by just giving it a whirl.

  • Where is the History

Please, please add the Issue History. We rely on this heavily and it’s been several years without this basic piece of functionality. We continue to joke internally after each update if we can finally start using the iOS app - but sadly, it still remains relegated to surface information.
  • It’s 2020, yet you lose data with Jira

Using this to manage a project right now and when I add a description, it will not auto save. You have to click done, and leave the app open long enough to save, or you will lose the data. Not right away. It will stay there for maybe a day or two, giving you false confidence it is in fact saved. But then, bam, it’s gone. Why in the world would any text entered anywhere in Jira ever not autosave? Why why why!

  • Classic Atlassian Product

Lack of features: Moving issues, which is essential for triaging, seeing and adjusting the Gantt with Jira Plans or Roadmaps, etc...

Also, there are all sorts of bugs and annoyances as well. The text editor is buggy and ends up messing with the content. Some fields seems to not be available on mobile as well. Since there are lacking features sometimes need to fallback to the web page which is really bad on mobile, and sometimes after authenticating sends back to the app...]

There’s lots of potential for the app now that it runs on macOS as well. I would be more than happy to abandon the crap of web apps in favor of a native experience.
