Outstanding customer service!
I recently had the pleasure of dealing with Carla Car Rental and I must commend their exceptional customer service, particularly from their representative, Jean. We encountered some complications with our reservation, and Jean handled the situation with remarkable efficiency and professionalism.
Jean quickly sorted out the issues and went above and beyond by helping us find a better deal on our car rental. Her dedication to customer satisfaction was evident throughout our interaction. She was not only knowledgeable and resourceful but also extremely friendly and reassuring, making the whole experience stress-free and pleasant. (Even though by this point I was crying in a car rental parking lot.)
Thanks to Jean, what could have been a frustrating situation turned into a positive experience. Change pick up date
I needed to change my pick up date from Wednesday to Friday because when I booked the car online outside of the app it stated my total was $127 but after I downloaded the app it stated my total was $347 adding a $250 deposit and I wouldn't have that until Friday. The app wouldn't allow me to change the date nor cancel to rebook stating it was less that a week and if I cancel I couldn't get a refund. So I reached out to support and Mert was such a blessing to me. They not only changed the date for me but upgraded my car with no extra cost. This was a blessing for me as I really needed this car to get my son to work as our public transportation has changed causing issues with him being able to get to work and it will allow me to add a second income to help me purchase a car. I suggest Carla for your renting needs or to do gig work this is the way to goShow lessMeechy P
ABSOLUTELY THE WORST APP AND CUSTOMER SERVICE
Use a different app or third party if you want to rent. This app is not it, they don’t care and will respond to your issues on their terms. Save yourself the time and money and look at other options. I had high hopes for this app after reading some reviews but they were probably bought. This whole experience booking a rental through you guys has been an ABSOULUTE NIGHTMARE. First the communication was subpar to what I expect from a rental company. I know you guys are a third party, but these rental companies are also the face of your company. To have no communication the day of the pickup was unacceptable. To not able to reach the branch where I mind you, five plus employees were present when I arrived an hour and half later after getting dropped off by the rental car bus to the rental car center and their shuttle was supposed to run every fifteen mins. On your app, I also purchased what was supposed to be as "skip the line" fee which was not what happened so you guys scammed and frauded me with that option. We had to wait another hour and half to get a car and we signed in and it was first come first served. Avoid this total Rip-off
My first time using what seemed like a good service. I was wrong. At every step Carla asks for a review and tries to add more charges. I looked carefully to remove all of them except something called Carla’s Plus that didn’t have that option at checkout. My $107 car rental became $169 to pay at a counter. What counter? This is an app. My promised pick-up car within 4 miles changed to a 17-mile trip and return to the airport My car options was one - an Economy size EV without being asked. Then $28+ in extra fees for no reason. $19 for Carla’s Plus, whatever that is. A $9.60 prepayment that was added instead of subtracted from my bill. All these changes were sent by email after booking thru the app. Thank goodness I chose to get notifications by email instead of text. Also I took screenshots while booking just in case I needed to support any dispute and demand for a full refund. Which I did within seconds of getting their email. Another email said their refund policy is 50% if cancelled at least 48 hours beforehand and didn’t include their service fee even if you purchased their trip insurance. First time they said any of this. I booked Carla less than 24 hrs before needing the car. Bottomline, it’s all more hidden charges to make sure they get and keep all your money. I am writing especially for American tourists, please read my message before you book any car through this app, you will lose money,and so I booked a car through this app, they charged me 574$ of the initial amount and I had to pay the rest of the money in the amount of 1200+ $ when I pick up the car, but when I arrived at the Avis location to pick up my car, they told me that they did not have this car and apologized for the damage caused, they wasted my precious time + because of them I lost an important business meeting , but that’s not all, after I wrote to Carla’s support service to get my money back for the goods not received, they refused to return the money to me without any reason, and there can’t be any reason and it doesn’t matter to me since I I didn’t receive my car and besides the fact that they were obliged to immediately return my money, they also owed me compensation for the damage and inconvenience caused, but they even refuse to return my money to me, and this is chaos and illegal action, I ask all tourists to be be careful from this app and Avis rental car, if you suddenly pay in advance through a credit card or through another and you have a problem with the car, then you will most likely lose all your money thanks, and I am not going to pay not one cent, and after I have a problem with my credit history, there will be legal problems with this company with my lawyerShow less7Astral7

So the app & making the car rental reservation was a breeze…Pretty simply str8 4ward..It was my first reservation & the whole “We’ll email you with you pick up location & reservation details shortly..” Kinda had me on edge..Then I got the email with the pick up location that was an hr out from my location…So I started freaking out being Support Phone Line help didnt open for another 3 hrs & I needed this pick up location changed..I sent an email & the response to my inquiry was almost instant which I super appreciated!..& I didnt even have ta put up a fight or wind up not picking up my rental due ta distance out..”ALEX” just assigned me the nearest pick up location 15 mins away & email me back steadfast with all the details needed..Customer Service is fast friendly & on point… 5Stars & also the price was the half of what other competitor services were offering..So #WIN! Wouldn’t use again
I’ve had this app on my phone for a year or so and finally used it this weekend to purchase a rental vehicle. The price that I paid a deposit on was not the price that was honored once I arrived to pick up the rental. I would have had a much better experience had I went directly to the rental company app that I also have on my phone and paid for it in full. The price was much more by using the Carla App and the location that my reservations gave me on the Carla App was not the location that had my rental. I called the location I was given and was told they did not have a reservation for me. I then called the rental company customer service to find out that my location had been switched but it was not switched in the app. I’m glad I called the day before to confirm…had I not done that it would have been a disaster! I’m gonna delete this app from my phone once I return the car and book directly through the rental company site going forward. This is such a wonderful app! This app is easy to use and has many great resources! It’s very user friendly and I love how you can also enter promo codes within the app! Carla’s menu items are very easy to see and the app itself is very organized and a great app to purchase! I think this app is very underrated and it should be advertised more!! This app is better than most car rental apps and I think more people need to learn about this app! Carla is ideal for any kind of individual looking to rent a car. The prices are very affordable and the availability rates are great given it’s very difficult to rent a car now a days. This app also gives the opportunity to find hotels to stay in which is a great addition to car renting since many people are on vacation when renting cars. Overall wonderful app and I do not see any notable flaws with the app. I would recommend this app to anyone who wants to find a wonderful app to rent a car or stay in a hotel!
