Needs customisable interval options
Bit disappointed in the product. Bought it assuming I could set it to remind me to drink every 15 mins, 30 mins, whatever time interval I chose. I have had surgery that limits how much water I can swallow each time so need much more frequent glow reminders. There is a whole niche market for that. Maybe update the app to allow the customer to set specific reminder intervals? Would give 5 stars if it did that because it measures/calculates the water intake well.

Find my network
Great app and product. Would be nice to add support for the find my network for our bottle.
Thief
Payed a one time payement for Glow Studio…. Now I have to pay a subscription to have access to something I have already purchased. Theses businesses techniques are awful. I was enjoying their products until they made the jump to the subscription bases services…. I only they would respect the non subscribers by not filling their app with locked options and pushing their subscription down our throat… Please give us an option in the setting to remove ads and locked options to the user view if activated in the settings and give me back my Glow Studio that I have payed for ….

Disappointed
I purchased this bottle to help me stay hydrated by alerting me when I’m not meeting my hydration goals. Unfortunately, I found the notification system to be lacking. The bottle uses a glowing light to signal when it’s time to drink water, but this feature is only helpful if the bottle is within my line of sight. Often, my bottle is out of view, like when it’s in my truck’s cup holder, making these glowing notifications ineffective. I attempted to find a solution by searching online for a way to sync the bottle’s alerts with my iPhone, but to no avail. I’m disappointed in the functionality as it stands, as it doesn’t suit my needs or lifestyle.

Disappointing
I had to spend almost $100 for my water bottle due to living in Canada.. then stopped using it because it would build up with mold… after not using it for a while thought I would try again.. re download the app only to find you guys are now charging for the app?? Seriously??? First we buy over priced water bottles, have a stupid design and now have to pay for an app on top of it… shame on you!!! Will be discontinuing your water bottle and erasing your app!! Great way to lose customers!! Whoever thought that was a good idea should be fired!!!

Scam
This is a full scam app. Basically you pay to buy a bottle so that you’re allowed to pay them every month for in app. If you want to drink sparkling water that costs extra. And for app authentication, when you hide your e-mail, the app forces you to enter your e-mail on the next screen. Amazing idea completely tanked with poor execution.

Yearly Fee
I haven’t used my bottle for a bit, and was quite shocked when I logged back on only to find you now have to pay for the app… after spending a hefty amount for a bottle… definitely disappointing. I love the concept of the bottle, but find the yearly fee excessive.
They are asking me to pay for something I already bought
A few years ago I bought this bottle, through the app you could use some lights but then you could also pay a fee to unlock customizable lights forever. Which is what I did. I’ve recently come back to the app to try to use my bottle again and now you have to pay per month to unlock a feature I already bought permanently. Now you can’t use ANY lights in the free version and I definitely can’t use the upgrade that I paid for anymore. They stole my money. Don’t bother with this company. Corporations are so greedy right now, and they get away with it. Don’t give them your money.
*update: these people are scam artists. Everyone just keeps gaslighting me and saying the feature is still free but there is absolutely no possible way to access glow studio despite talking to developers and making reports etc. I’m not an idiot when it comes to technology and I knew how to access this feature in the past and trust me I have tried EVERYTHING to get around your paywall. I already paid for two $70 water bottles and the glow studio, I’m not sure how much more you need to scam me, but this is highly unethical. I just get a paywall everytime I go to access the feature I already paid for and no one from the team will help me.
I’ll have to start the process of reporting this app to Apple and try to get you removed from the App Store because this is just waaaay too much. I cant believe hidrate is getting away with this stuff.

Thank you for your review! If you already have Glow Studio, rest assured that you will NOT lose access to it. Now you access Glow Studio by using the Edit Glow button for a bottle. When you’re selecting a glow for a bottle, one of the options is to create a new glow using Glow Studio. Hope that helps! - Hidrate Team
Quite Buggy
The bottle is great, and I like the app as it helps me monitor my water intake to ensure I’m drinking enough. However the app can be buggy, sometimes not loading on startup, or taking a very long time. Quite often the challenges in the social tab don’t show up, then they just reappear. Other times the achievements don’t pop, or are not actually tracking my progress as the % completed is totally wrong. These issues are not blockers for me, but they are preventing me from giving this a 5 star rating.

Unreliable
Having purchased four bottles from HidrateSpark, I was quite surprised today when I opened the app to find I was logged out. After logging back in, it seems my entire profile has vanished. No bottles there, no water tracked. Nothing. Essentially making the bottles completely useless for tracking water.
