Reminders on Watch App Non-Existent

My expectation from reading the outside of the bottle box before purchase was that I would get notifications on my watch app to as to when to drink, alas, this does not happen, and I feel like I just have a regular water bottle which was just 10 times more expensive as any other water bottle.

Only, give this water bottle zero stars, if that was an option

No push notifications

I wanted to love Hidrate, I really did, and the bottle is cool and if it is in your line of site you can see the light reminding you to drink. But I don’t always have the bottle with me or in front of me and wanted the push notifications from the app to my watch or phone to remind me to drink no matter where I am. Unfortunately it doesn’t do that. Sure you get push notifications for awards and other random thing but not for the basic premise of Hidrate, to drink. I went back and forth with their support for a week on why this doesn’t happen and they don’t know their own app that well and could not give a solution so now I have a $50 water bottle that flashes.

- - - Update
The developers response is the same I have already gone through with their support for weeks. Suggestions that don’t work including telling me that I have to have unlimited notifications set that go off all the time, not just reminders only when I am behind on my intake. Not only does that not work but if it did it would mean you are always getting notifications and disruptions even after you’ve met your goal, essentially spamming you with alerts constantly, despite the setting for reminders only if you’re behind. The app doesn’t function as promised, support leads you in circles, and you still end up with an overpriced glowing bottle. Great if you don’t want the app and can rely on the bottle itself for visual reminders.

Good but not great

I’ve been using my bottle and the app for a while now and wanted to wait for a bit before leaving a review. Initially all worked great but more and more recently there have been sync issues causing me to have to remove and re-add the bottle completely as the recalibrate bottle option seems to disappear every time my bottle stops syncing. Thats really my only complaint, well that and the sensor makes the bottle quite unstable and prone to falling over quite easily. Apart from that, all good.

Overall ok

Overall the app works and does the job, though I wish they would allow you to create groups from the app with friends, also fix the watch app up and allow the choice of drinks to input rather then just water

Love! Looking forward to updates!

Currently loving the bottle and app!! Overall it is great! There are a few things I wish they will change later on, such as selecting different colours for different notifications. So it will flash when you take a drink compared to the colour to remind you to drink. I was hoping for this feature to already be available considering I got their newest model but hopefully they will add it in the future!!

Great bottle and app just missing something

The app is OK it remained you to stink water, the disappearing thinks are the reports in the app. You can only flick thru the day reports, there are no weekly or monthly reports!
Cannot drill down a bit more to see if there are certain days in a week where you need to drink more water, etc…

No payment required

At first when I downloaded this app thought “just paid £85 from apple for this water bottle! Not paying for a subscription”

I was about to return bottle as I’d not opened the package. Research on the internet that the app is free but if I want to use it’s advanced features, then you can subscribe. App syncs nicely with Apples Health App.

Pesky in app purchases

The bottle itself is ok, but the app is becoming more and more annoying to use. Charging an in-app subscription (not even a one off!) for logging sparkling water seems greedy and customer hostile. It’s quite off putting and it’s a shame.

Love the idea

First let me say I love the Hidrate bottle/tumbler & keeping track of you water/drink intake. Goals are good to have. My sister bought me the tumbler and I liked it so much I bought the 17 Oz steel bottle because it’s easier to travel with. No problem connecting them to the app either. Now my issues.
1. I did the update and now the coffee hydration is now rated 60% when it was 90%. Why?
2. I’m having more issues with the app not recording the liquid consumption since I updated the app. It does sometimes and sometimes it’s slow to light up the bottle and record ounces drank. And sometimes it doesn’t record at all. Batteries are charged and bottles are shown as connected.
3. I get not having all the drink options with the free app. But can you at least give us the option of being able to choose 5 different options not counting the water?
Do I have to subscribe to be able to fix any of these things? Granted $15 a yr isn’t much but other than having a larger drink selection there is nothing being offered in the upgrade that thrills me.

Shameless and unnecessary upselling

I already bought the world’s most expensive water bottle, and now this app wants $20/year to track other kinds of beverages??? This is simple GREED.
