Can’t check-in

Received an email to download this app for an easy check-in.

Downloaded the app, numerous verifications, spinning wheel or Page not found.

What’s the point?

Don’t leave the chat!

The chat functionality on this app is incredibly frustrating. If you leave the app in the middle of a chat session for any reason, including your display turning off, you’re unable to see any responses from
Amex. This forces you to keep the app open even if you’re waiting for someone to pick up a request or reply.

A help desk that is anything but

Tried to get assistance with online check-in, both times they told me the same thing as the Airlines site which must have been having an issue, there was no communication between the treats I was transferred between so I had to re-explain everything and you cant copy and past a previous conversation. I’ll equipped handlers and will probably delete the app after this trip.

Saved me many times

From booking travel through Neo, to chatting with an agent, this app has it all. It’s so easy easy to make changes with an agent while you’re traveling or even in meetings. 10/10 trip companion for your business travel needs.

Logged out

Having to login constantly is my biggest complaint. It logs out frequently - even more than the 30 days it outlines. What is the need to log out automatically? Truly curious. What scenario would this address? Someone steals your phone or tablet and is somehow able to open it and then uses your identity to… wait an hour to text chat someone who isn’t going to help you with your booking anyway?

Doesn’t stay logged in

The main problem with the app is that it keeps logging out despite selecting the option to stay logged in for 30 days. This is extremely annoying because the login process is quite involved and requires seemingly unnecessary security measures.

Useless

I’ve been a Amex card hold for over 20 years, owner of my company, and book travel via American Express Travel. This app can’t find upcoming travel. Even after chatting with a live support person and giving them my record locator info for the trip they still can’t find it. This app provides zero value. Waste of time.

Pointless

I constantly fail to connect with an advisor, the notifications only seem to work for delays and not when and advisor is finally available. This can take many hours or sometimes not at all.
Shocking service from a business standpoint.

Slow customer service

On hold for almost an hour as I type. Constantly having issues with my travel and it takes forever to get it resolved. Once someone does finally answer, we can usually figure it out. Just wish I didn’t have to be on hold for so long all the time.

Not iPad compatible

It’s a decent app but would like to see it be compatible for the iPad
