No trial at all

I got a subscription, and the content is less than average. No levels. All of the bodies are these ripped figures and not a lot if curating content to guide someone safely through a journey.

Great app, minor complaints

I switched over to Asana after being committed to a different yoga app for the past few years. I haven’t explored much beyond the workouts which have all been valuable so far. I love the diversity in instructors and hope to see more of that. I am a big fan of the workouts being 30 minutes or less. For the price point, there is great value with the recipes, meditations, music, etc. My main complaint is the obnoxious voice that pops up towards the end of the workout before the cooldown begins. I think we can all already see the button for ‘skip warmup’ or ‘skip cooldown’ that is there. It tends to take me out of my zone for a little bit. I see the appeal for some, but would love an option to turn this off at least. It would also be nice to have a filter included for common ailments (ie, achy shoulders, neck, tight hips, etc). I find that the search bar can miss out on some workouts if you’re not specific enough. The ability to plan your workouts for the day/week would be nice too so I can spend some time on a certain day planning my workouts for the week rather than a lot of searching and thinking each day about what might work.

Very misleading

This app makes a big show of having you fill out a questionnaire to suggest a customized workout which is absolute nonsense. I am a very fit 63 year old. But the workouts “tailored to me” are for those in their 20s or 30’s. The low intensity work out just dives right in with no explanation of the moves, a rapid progression from move to move with no demonstration of the proper alignment or technique. Just a complete waste of money for anyone who is not already a workout expert and under 35.

ERROR & HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE

I get it, we are in a pandemic, but anything that is quick to take my money and leave me hanging will anger ANYONE during tough times. I was excited to give this a shot. Unfortunately you cannot test this app out without subscribing, so I chose the best deal, the annual subscription. Right after they took my money, there was an error. It was not accepting my log in, and mind you, I created an account with my Apple ID, so it was an auto set up, convenient for so many apps, but this one has an error they need to fix ASAP. I took video screen recordings of the errors I kept getting, no matter how many times I would “forget my password” and try that, nothing worked. I kept getting the error. I messaged them and have still not received a response. Days go by…still waiting. Still can’t get in. Out money…. I was motivated and excited to get started, so just my luck….. No fault of my own. I can only hope more run into this issue so they will finally start to take notice….

Great content, app functionality is poor

I love these workouts and very happy to pay for them and the other content is also really appreciated.

The more I use the app however the more surprised (frustrated!) at the lack of search functionality within the app. There is a level one search but if you want to combine say length of workout and intensity level you cannot search on that basis. You can’t search for workouts by instructor. Sometimes I want a core workout that is intense - my only option is to trawl through to find one that might suit. Even in the “challenges”, the concept of which I like, but actually they are some of the generic workouts just drawn together eg the core one is not necessarily core specific workouts, rather they just include some core at some point.

I will continue using for now but I may start to drift to other apps as this doesn’t seem too much to ask for a paid for app

Makes fitness super approachable

I just turned 44 and was needing to refocus on my fitness. I also belong to a video yoga website but was finding I just wanted some more “workout” based options. Asana Rebel has been absolutely perfect for me because of the customized selection of workouts, their even pacing (not hyper like some cardio classes), and their length. Some days 20-25 minutes of strength training is all I can handle and this makes me feel like I am still able to engage and keep up even when I am still sore or have less time to devote. I am definitely building strength and tone quickly and in a way that doesn’t leave me decimated for days. The video and audio quality is excellent - loads better than the other site I am on. I like the music options and the home feed’s suggestions. I don’t have to go searching for what I want, it’s served to me which saves me the decision fatigue.
I like the music options and will be checking out some of the recipe suggestions soon. Overall this just makes my fitness commitment super easy and very doable.

Great to hear you are enjoying the app! Thank you so much for your support.😀👌

Good but had problems.

I was fine with it for a week or so and then the volume wouldn’t work on the exercises. I tried trouble shooting but I have a brand new iPhone 12 Pro Max and I don’t think that was the problem. It would only play on the ear speaker and then it wouldn’t play anything at all. So this is where it gets annoying. I uninstalled the app but now they are asking for payment when I already paid for the year. It gave me the option to sign into an already existing account. I signed in and the app works but then I go to use the exercises and it wants me to pay again. I click to pay again (although I’m not going to) and it says that I already have a subscription. I say ok. The it gives me an error message. I’m sorry an error occurred. Then it goes right back to do it all again.

Is this a beginner app?

I just started with this App a week ago. I have “completed” 5 workouts in this time.
I signed up for beginner because I am an overweight, middle aged, women attempting to get back in shape. This may come as a surprise to the creators of this app but as a middle aged women, out of shape women, I could not do a side plank, while doing crunches, if my life depended on it. I also can not do a handstand or a full body push up. I am frustrated. I tried to make sure I was in beginner but I see no way to check the level I am on or change that level. I end up skipping super difficult excercises and just do the ones I can do which are about 80% of the workout. I wish I could do a whole workout so I could feel better. When I can not do an pose, I am frustrated and feel bad. I like that I am sore and I so enjoy the app just think there needs to be more truly beginner poses. If you are very yoga advanced you will love this app.

Not user friendly for beginners

I haven’t exercised for a while and was assuming there would be some programmes for beginners or that I’d be able to search by, or filter by, difficultly level. However that doesn’t seem to be the case so when I look at an exercise I have no idea whether it’s suitable and waste a lot of time skipping through videos to try and understand the difficulty level.
If I could cancel I would but unfortunately I’ve already paid up front for an app that isn’t suitable for me at all.

Pure Pleasure

At 49yo, I’m not as active as I used to be so Asana Rebel provides a great range of practices that I can enjoy even at my age. The soothing narrations provide gentle guidance and encouragement. After every practice, I feel relaxed and replete. Have been subscribing for 2 years, and I feel so satisfied, I’ve posted this review; which I wouldn’t normally do. Worth every cent.
