  • Incredible

App developers like these need to be recognized. Not only have they created a unique and entertaining game, but they kept micro transactions out of the picture. Full fledged "pay once to play" games a dying breed and this game here is a gem.

Only tidbit, it took a few deaths in order for me to understand how to exactly play.

  • Epically fun...totally worth it!

This is a great game. Buy it. Oh, you want reasons? Ok, well, it's fun. It's polished. It's got action, adventure, humor, and singing. You'll get more far more enjoyment out of this for a longer period of time than you will from that overpriced coffee you're drinking as you read this so stop screwing around and buy this already, sheesh!

  • Fun, better now with patch

Enjoy the unique play style, love the graphics and music. Winning will require both a bit of strategy and luck. (I like to have my chump character test unknown dungeons before sending in an A-team dungeoneer.)

Update: Now 5 stars! No crashing anymore, very smooth. Love the new expansions & options.

  • Great game

3 weeks into an eight week foot-surgery recovery and decided to give this game a try. Glad I did...awesome time-killer and genuine fun! Simple to learn but enough complexity to keep me interested for hours on end. Especially cute if you ever played D&D....had to chuckle at the Ranger character wondering aloud if he gets a "dual-wielding bonus" or complaining about not having a "pet" to take "hits" for him. But, even without getting the insider-jokes anyone will enjoy this. Great game!

  • Worth the price of admission

Paid for the main game. Worth 6$ by itself. A novel new concept merging dungeon building, card fighting, and old school D&D style rng. Advancement is in unlocking new characters rather than building old ones, which at first glance is a weakness that will get repetitive, but has stood rather well in my 40+ hours game time.

It's addictive because you can't build an unbeatable behemoth.

The music is a good touch, but I would like a full soundtrack rather than small bites of it. This is, however a cheap game, not a concept album.

The humor of the game and story shines in the effort it shows without being obnoxious. It's been the source of many lighthearted chuckles and nostalgic memory triggers harkening back to my golden days of dice and braggadocio around a gaming table.

The best part? The main game is just an appetizer, because the addons (which rival the main game in length and concept innovation) are included in the price.

One word to describe this game?

    WORTH.

  • lots of fun, lots of reminiscing :)

It took me a 8 or 9 deaths to get a hang of, but now this little gem has become my go-to, right-before-bed game. My favorite detail is the limericks and theme parodied off of the old war-song "Carlow". My first teacher in the SCA used to play this song on her hurdy gurdy and it always makes me smile when i open this app to the theme.

  • Pay once and enjoy for weeks

It is such a relief to find an amazing game that does not nickel and dime you into the poor house. Pay once and enjoy for many hours. There is very high replayability with this creative RPG. I love the creative card play. My only gripe is that the game play gets repetitive. If the developers added some additional strategy this game would be top notch!

  • Great game, but.....

A game that I play often but the ushers manual or strategy guide has very little information about it. I had a lot of confusion when I started playing and I still have some questions that I can't seem to get answered. They have enough time to make expansions but not enough time to add a guide for the game???

  • All better now!

With the latest patch they seem to have fixed the crash issues on older platforms.

Which is a huge relief for those of us that got hooked on this delightfully fun game! Thank you and keep up the good work!
  • Despite

I don't play this sort of game… usually. I played D&D when it was the blue box edition, with a laminated sheet of “chits” to cut apart and use as “dice”. No polyhedron fancy business here… no siree. This game is just the right mix of goofy and serious consequences to feel like those pretzel and 2-liter (of whatever her Mom bought to guzzle), fueled basement campaigns of yore (or olde, but it should be old times.)
