Best by far

Go to Majorca numerous times a year, with my wife and in a large group for weekend trips. I’ve been doing this for 20 plus year, at first we would book the cheapest hotels however we soon realised that melia/sol we’re by far the best. Standard of the hotels in general, locations, prices, everything is just way better than other hotels. I never had a bad stay in melia, always 100% I stay in one of their hotels.

Nope.

Not sure who developed this app but you can download it..and that's where it stops. App not unlike resort. Lots of glitches all around.

Useless App

I’m not sure what the point of having this app is. I’m not able to book any services, see a map of the hotel or make any restaurant reservations. It’s just an app for the sake of having an app. The developers keep saying they are making improvements. Why not just release a fully functional app vs giving us minor enhancements incrementally?

Useless

I didn’t even get as far as trying to book any tables etc for my holiday as the app wouldn’t add my booking to my account - it doesn’t recognise the name of my hotel - Melia Cala Galbana- (or provide a drop-down list to pick from) and the keyboard isn't triggered to load in fields requiring typing. Filling each therefore involves copying and pasting details from Notes. If the Melia policy is to encourage people to use the app, at least make sure it has basic functions before irritating the public with it.

Can’t even create an account

Impossible to create an account on the app, continuously get errors. Tried on mobile service, wifi, neither worked. Uninstalled, reinstalled. No reason for error such as duplicate accounts, email issues, app down, just error. Garbage. Tried online, and the webpage (via mobile) had the same issue. I’m going to just cancel my entire week stay and find a hotel that can afford to invest in a tech team.

Useless!

Currently staying in the Gran Meliá Palacio de Isora where you can only book restaurants via the app. Unfortunately, due to a “bug” the app will not allow you to access your booking once the app is closed and therefore you are unable to book any restaurants!

Melia, if you are going to actively promote that restaurants can only be booked in this manner then make sure the app is working! Absolutely pathetic.

Worst app ever

We checked into the Paradisus Los Cabos. Love the resort but the app is absolutely useless. Cannot access any restaurant menus through the app nor book any reservations. No way to book spa services. It’s a shame because if the app were actually working properly and were it useful, it would improve the experience greatly. In our modern world everything is done online and having a well designed app is vital. A huge disappointment. It suggests a lack of concern on the part of Melia about customer service. The cost of app development should not preclude a large company like Melia from developing a well designed platform for their customers. Looking through the reviews of the app it is apparent the issues have been going on for years. Yet they repeatedly ask for clarification of the issues people are having as if they don’t already know. What a joke. Melia, please ask your app developer to stop treating your customers like idiots and fools. It’s patronizing to say the least. You know full well after years of consistently poor reviews, many of which contain detailed descriptions of the problems people are encountering, what the issues are. Why do you refuse to address them?? And please don’t respond with “please reach out to us” or some such nonsense. Just FIX IT.

Really poor

There are plenty of similar apps that function well, so I don’t know why Meliá find it so difficult to get this right. The resort relies on this app for menus and info, so the fact that it is so poor really detracts for the holiday experience.
App is slow, hard to navigate and regularly crashes / loses details of the stay. It doesn’t even have a full list of what is on offer when it is working and the resort staff struggle - I suspect that this is because their side of the interface is just as poor.

App doesn’t work

This app is by far the worst I’ve used. You pay for a vacation, the resort demands you use the app for service and then it doesn’t display that you’re checked in (when you’ve been here for 24 hours), won’t give you the OPTION to check in, and won’t let you see or book any services. Terrible start to a 7 day vacation.
